Introduction: Several possible complications are known to be related to central venous catheters.
Presentation Of Case: A 20-year-old lady had a catheter (Port-a-Cath) inserted in the left subclavian vein to treat Hodgkin's lymphoma. One year after insertion, on receiving intravenous chemotherapy the patient began coughing. Imaging studies showed the tip of the catheter to be crossing the superior mediastinum into the upper lobe of the right lung. The patient was taken to the operating room and the Port-a-Cath catheter was removed intact.
Discussion: Migration is a rare complication associated with insertion of these lines. Accompanying erosion into an airway is even rarer.
Conclusion: Any unexplained deterioration in the respiratory system should raise suspicion of catheter migration and bronchial erosion.

Silico-tuberculosis is the combination of silicosis and tuberculosis (TB). Symptoms of TB such as dyspnea, cough, and hemoptysis may precede the diagnosis of an endo-bronchial mass lesion on chest imaging. Among workers who were exposed to silica, TB was more common, and experiments indicated that silica inhibits alveolar macrophage activity and severe exposure induces apoptosis.

An advanced form of magnesium-rich hydroxyapatite (Mg·HAP) was modified with two types of biopolymers, namely chitosan (CH/Mg·HAP) and β-cyclodextrin (CD/Mg·HAP), producing two types of bio-composites. The synthesized materials were developed as enhanced carriers for levofloxacin to control its loading, release, and anti-inflammatory properties. The polymeric modification significantly improved the loading efficiency to 281.

Transcatheter embolization is an important tool in the treatment of pulmonary artery and bronchial artery pseudoaneurysms, malformations, and hemorrhage. Migration of coils, particularly through erosion into the associated bronchus, is a rare but known potential complication after the use of intravascular embolization coils in the pulmonary vasculature. Here we present a case of migration of segmental pulmonary artery coils through the right lower lobe bronchus and proximally through the vocal cords, causing significant symptoms of discomfort, hemoptysis, and ongoing expectoration of coils necessitating thoracoscopic right lower lobectomy.

Background: We investigated two brothers who presented with repeated lung infections after 6 months of age. Lymphocytes and neutrophils were significantly decreased, and both had bronchiectasis and emphysema.
Objective: We sought to characterize the complete picture of lung injury in some types of primary immunodeficiency disease, followed by verification and analysis.

Background: We analyzed the clinical characteristics of children with plastic bronchitis (PB) caused by Mycoplasma pneumoniae (MP) and explored its risk factors.
Methods: We prospectively analyzed clinical data of children with MP pneumonia (MPP) treated with fiberoptic bronchoscopy (FB). Patients were classified into a PB and non-PB group.
