In natural environments, most rocks possess internal fissures and are often exposed to diverse external loads arising from engineering activities and ground stress, among other factors. This study aims to explore the influence of different loading rates on the mechanical properties and acoustic emission (AE) characteristics of fissured rocks and to develop an intrinsic damage model. To achieve this, prefabricated fissured rock specimens that mimic natural rocks were prepared.

1,3,5-trinamino-2,4,6-trinitrobenzene (TATB) as an important insensitive high explosive has excellent safety performance due to strong hydrogen bonds. Ionic impurities including sulfate ions (SO), nitrate ions (NO) and chloride ions (Cl) formed during the preparation of TATB have negative effects on TATB-based explosives. However, strong hydrogen bonds result in extremely low solubility of TATB in traditional solvents, which poses a huge obstacle to extract and detect the impurities in TATB for quality control.

This project describes the design, implementation, and evaluation of a presentation coaching program offered by an academic surgical society to presenters at its annual meeting.
Design: Oral presenters were paired with a coach and encouraged to meet independently, yet coaching was unstructured.

For patients engaged in mental health treatment, the social impact of their shelter-in-place experience remains an area of active investigation. This is particularly relevant in the context of social prescribing, a growing area of clinical intervention where healthcare providers actively refer patients to local social resources or activities to enhance mental health and wellbeing.
