Objectives: Interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome (IC/BPS) is a challenging chronic inflammatory condition affecting the urinary bladder, with limited treatment options. This study aims to assess the clinical efficacy of repeated intravesical platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections for promoting urothelial regeneration and reducing inflammation in patients with IC/BPS and investigate its correlation with subjective and objective treatment-related outcomes.

Materials And Methods: Four monthly intravesical PRP injections were given to 98 patients with non-Hunner-type IC/BPS.

Lumbar intervertebral disc degeneration is thought to be the main cause of low back pain, although the mechanisms by which it occurs and leads to pain remain unclear. In healthy adult discs, vessels and nerves are present only in the outer layer of the annulus fibrosus and in the bony endplate. Animal models, and histological and biomechanical studies have shown that annulus tear or endplate injury is the initiating factor for painful disc degeneration.

Purpose Of Review: This review discusses the diagnosis and treatment of nervus intermedius neuralgia (NIN) and identifies gaps in the literature.

Recent Findings: The nervus intermedius is a branch of the facial nerve. NIN presents as a rare neuralgia of this nerve, causing deep ear pain, which may radiate to the auditory canal, auricle, mastoid, soft palate, temple, and angle of the jaw.
