The objective of the present study was to determine the possible effect of gastrointestinal nematodes upon serum mineral concentrations of lambs. Twelve male lambs were used. Lambs were randomly assigned to 2 groups (n = 6): Group 1 infected with gastrointestinal nematodes and Group 2 as controls. Lambs of Group 1 were infected with a single dose of 15,000 L larvae of GI nematodes (, , , and -). Blood samples were collected from the investigated animals individually every 2 weeks. However, the differences in serum macro-minerals (Ca, Mg, P, K, and Na) among groups were not significant. Although the differences in serum macro-minerals among groups were not significant and the iron serum concentration remained unaltered, the gastrointestinal parasitism reduced significantly/substantially the serum copper levels.

Background: Postmenopausal Osteoporosis (PMOP) is characterized by decreased bone mass and deterioration of bone microarchitecture, leading to increased fracture risk. Current treatments often have adverse effects, necessitating safer alternatives. Kaempferol, a flavonoid identified as a key active component of the traditional Chinese medicine Yishen Gushu formula, has shown promise in improving bone health, but its mechanisms in PMOP treatment remain unclear.

Introduction: Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is recognized as a major global public health problem. Dialysis is the mainstay of treatment for patients with end-stage renal disease and can prolong survival in patients with CKD. As patient survival increases, the treatment of complications becomes more important.

Importance: Infertility affects around 180 million people in the world and can be influenced by a number of nutritional factors.
Objective: The idea of a pretreatment optimization including beneficial weight loss, adequate physical activity, and good lifestyle habits could enhance fertility for many couples who want to conceive a baby.
Results: There are different aspects related to nutrition, such as obesity (affecting 23%-30% of reproductive-aged women), dietary patterns (type of diet, good or bad habits, and physical activity), nutrients (vitamins or minerals), hormones (adipokines, among others), and endocrine-disrupting chemicals (phytoestrogens and bisphenol A, among others) that have a clear impact on women's fertility.

Introduction: To investigate the relationship between serum high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol and bone mineral density (BMD) in vitamin D-deficient population.
Materials And Methods: This study was a cross-sectional study. From January to December 2020, 2583 middle-aged and older adult aged 40 and above were randomly selected in the Health Management Center of the Affiliated Hospital of Guizhou Medical University for health examination and questionnaire survey.

Introduction: The objective of this study was to improve the economic value of the processed by-products of farmed miiuy croaker () by evaluating the nutrient composition and osteogenic activity of its bones. We prepared bone peptides (MMBP) and analyzed their osteogenic potential.
Methods: We assessed the osteogenic activity of MMBP by molecular docking, MC3T3-E1 cell proliferation assay and zebrafish growth model, and evaluated its effect on osteoporosis (OP) using a retinoic acid-induced osteoporosis rat model.
