Background: Blood and oral fluid-based HIV self-tests are important for reaching the undiagnosed living with HIV. The study objectives were to evaluate the oral fluid-based OraQuick® HIV Self-Test (HIV-ST) performance in comparison to laboratory reference testing; determine if laypersons can correctly perform the HIV-ST; document if intended users can successfully interpret pre-made contrived positive, negative, and invalid results; and document if intended users can understand the key messages in the product labeling.

Creeping bentgrass (Agrostis stolonifera) is a cool-season perennial turfgrass and is frequently utilized in high-quality turf areas. However, a poor to moderate resistance to heat stress limits its promotion and utilization in transitional and worm climate zones. The objectives of the study were to assess the heat tolerance of 18 creeping bentgrass genotypes in the field and to further uncover differential mechanisms of heat tolerance between heat-tolerant and heat-sensitive genotypes.

Introduction: Topical agents applied to the burn wound as first aid measures have been noted to impact outcomes. The application of cool running water is effective when administered for at least 20 min within 3 h of burn as recommended by the Australian and New Zealand Burn Association. However, the American Burn Association recommends running water for 5 min, and only in minor burns.
