One in 16, 000 live births is affected by the retinal tumor RB (retinoblastoma), which is frequently found in a child's early years. Both of the RB1 alleles that have been locally mutated in the affected retina are present in 60 percent of cases. Retinoblastoma (RB) can be detected using a variety of techniques, including imaging of the brain and orbits, eye examinations under anesthesia (EUAs), and the discovery of cell-free tumor DNA in samples of aqueous humor or plasma.

Extrachromosomal circular DNAs (eccDNAs) has been found to be widespread and functional in various organisms. However, comparative analyses of pre- and post-infection of virus are rarely known. Herein, we investigated the changes in expression patterns of eccDNA following infection with cytoplasmic polyhedrosis virus (BmCPV) and explore the role of eccDNA in viral infection.

Prostate cancer, a leading cause of cancer-related mortality among men, often presents challenges in accurate diagnosis and effective monitoring. This systematic review explores the potential of exosomal biomolecules as noninvasive biomarkers for the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment response of prostate cancer. A thorough systematic literature search through online public databases (Medline via PubMed, Scopus, and Web of science) using structured search terms and screening using predefined eligibility criteria resulted in 137 studies that we analyzed in this systematic review.

Atherosclerosis is accompanied by inflammation that underlies cardiovascular disease (CVD) and its vascular manifestations, including acute stroke, myocardial infarction, and peripheral artery disease, the leading causes of morbidity/mortality worldwide. The monolayer of endothelial cells formed on the luminal surface of arteries and veins regulates vascular tone and permeability, which supports vascular homeostasis. Endothelial dysfunction, the first step in the development of atherosclerosis, is caused by mechanical and biochemical factors that disrupt vascular homeostasis and induce inflammation.

Epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) remains a leading cause of gynecologic cancer mortality. Despite advances in treatment, metastatic progression and resistance to standard therapies significantly worsen patient outcomes. Epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) is a critical process in metastasis, enabling cancer cells to gain invasive and migratory capabilities, often driven by changing miRNA expression involved in the regulation of pathological processes like drug resistance.
