Choroidal neovascularization (CNV) is a rare but serious cause of visual impairment in children. The case report of a girl with a unilateral classical choroidal neovascular membrane has been presented. The differential diagnosis of possible etiology and the clinical course of this sight threatening condition during treatment have been documented. The similar cases in pediatric patients in foreign literature have been discussed. Current anti VEGF therapy is also available for pediatric patients and play a key role in improvement and stabilization of visual acuity in children with this disease.

As the most prevalent subtype of lung cancer, lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) is closely associated with angiogenesis, which is fundamental to its progression. ADAM8 (A disintegrin and metalloproteinase 8) is an enzyme associated with tumor invasion, while its implications in LUAD angiogenesis are a field that awaits exploration. A thorough investigation into the impacts of ADAM8 on LUAD angiogenesis could contribute to the development of therapeutic drugs for LUAD.

Purpose: To report the rare clinical, optical coherence tomography (OCT), and OCT-angiography findings of a visually significant choroidal neovascular membrane (CNV) in the setting of focal choroidal excavation (FCE) in a child.
Methods: Case report and literature review.
Results: A 9-year-old girl with FCE-related central CNV based on clinical findings and multimodal imaging.

Introduction: FTY720 bioactive lipid has proliferative, osteoinductive, chemo attractive, and angiogenic properties, being thus a potential exogenous administered agent for promotion of bone regeneration. Herein we developed FTY720-loaded liposomes as a potential delivery system that could retain and prolong the bioactivity of the bioactive lipid and at the same time reduce its cytotoxicity (at high doses).
Methods: FTY720 liposomes were prepared by thin-lipid hydration and microfluidic flow focusing, and evaluated for their ability to induce proliferation, osteoinduction, and chemoattraction in three cell types: MC3T3-E1 pre-osteoblast cells, L929 fibroblast cells, and ATDC5 chondrogenic cells.

Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is a complication of diabetes, characterized by progressive microvascular dysfunction that can result in vision loss. Chronic hyperglycemia drives oxidative stress, endothelial dysfunction, and inflammation, leading to retinal damage and complications such as neovascularization. Current treatments, including anti-VEGF agents, have limitations, necessitating the exploration of alternative therapeutic strategies.

Photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy, a therapeutic approach utilizing low-level light, has garnered significant attention for its potential to modulate various biological processes. This study aimed at optimizing and investigating the effects of PBM on angiogenesis and mitochondrial metabolic activity. In vitro experiments using human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) and vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) were performed to assess PBM's impacts on cell migration, proliferation, endogenous protoporphyrin IX production, mitochondrial membrane potential, Rhodamine 123 fluorescence lifetime, mitochondrial morphology, and oxygen consumption.
