Libido plays a crucial role in influencing semen quality, yet the underlying regulatory mechanisms remain unclear. As a central axis in male goose reproduction, the hypothalamic-pituitary-testicular-external genitalia (HPTE) axis may contribute to the regulation of this process. In this study, we established a rating scale for goose libido based on average number of massages to erection (ANM) and the erection type, and evaluated semen quality across the entire flock.

Limiting adverse consequences of mining activities requires ecosystem restoration efforts, whose arrangement around mining areas is poorly designed. It is unclear, however, where best to locate ecological projects to enhance ecosystem services cost-effectively. To answer this question, we conducted an optimized ecological restoration project planning by the Resource Investment Optimization System (RIOS) model to identify the restoration priority areas in the Pingshuo Opencast Coal Mine region in Shanxi Province.

Background: The BRAIN Initiative has stimulated development of novel single cell and spatial molecular approaches to understand human brain structure and function. However, traditional methods for human brain specimen collection, including retrospective archival tissues, have not been optimized for these latest methods. A modernized approach that optimizes tissue quality, anatomical precision, and comprehensive, quantitative neuropathological assessments is needed to maximize the impact of the tremendous investment and remarkable technological advances in human neuroscience research.
