Fatigue, pain and faecal incontinence in adult inflammatory bowel disease patients and the unmet need: a national cross-sectional survey.

Background And Aims: The co-existence of fatigue, pain and faecal incontinence in people with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) is unknown. We aimed to determine the presence of and relationship between these symptoms and patients' desire for intervention.

Methods: Adults with IBD in the UK, recruited from clinics, the national IBD-BioResource, a patient charity and social media sources, completed PROMIS validated patient-reported questionnaires to identify fatigue, pain and faecal incontinence, in addition to symptom severity and impact, disease activity, anxiety and depression questionnaires and questions about their desire for help with these symptoms.

Methods: The review was registered with PROSPERO (CRD42023445064). Studies included pregnant women with out of hospital cardiac arrest and resuscitative hysterotomy performed (in any setting) during cardiac arrest.

Background: Contractures are a debilitating problem for individuals living in long-term care settings. However, there is a lack of education and training among the care staff regarding the identification of risk factors related to contractures and the preventive strategies that can decrease their development or progression. Background And Purpose: We lack population-based data on the use and effectiveness of phosphodiesterase- 5inhibitors (PDE-5Is) in post-radiotherapy long-term prostate cancer survivors (PCaSs). In this cross-sectional survey performed 9 years after curative radiotherapy we explored PDE-5I use and the drugs'effectiveness in 1,092 nine-year PCaSs responding to the sexual items of EPIC-26. The findings from PCaSs were compared to those from 2,847 age-similar men from the general population (Norms).
