The Zr and Co co-substituted NiZnFeO have been synthesized by sol-gel auto combustion method. The XRD patterns provide single phase cubic spinel with ( ( )) space group and extra peaks found in XRD patterns from x = 0.24 to x = 0.4. The experimental lattice parameter is increased from 8.3995Å to 8.4129 Å and the theoretical lattice parameter is increased from 8.3948Å to 8.4130Å with increasing dopant concentration. The substitute ions in place of ferric ions cause the significant changes in all structural parameters. The D.C resistivity is increased from 126597 Ω-cm to 684229 Ω-cm and the drift mobility is decreased from 4.9×10 cm/V-s to 1.88× 10cm/V-s with increasing dopant concentration. The activation energy is decreased from 0.2108 eV to 0.0905 eV with increasing doping concentration. The saturation magnetization is decreased from 71.1559 emu/gm to 28.2405 emu/gm and the net magnetic moment is decreased from 6.3556 Bhor magnetons to 2.5523 Bhor magnetons with increasing dopant concentration. The Y-K angles are increased from 20.0723̊ to 59.4274̊ with increasing dopant concentration. The anisotropy constant has increased from 100 to 351 with increasing dopant concentration. The permeability is decreased from 117 to 19.4524 with increasing dopant concentration.

The increasing CO concentration in the atmosphere has substantial impacts on the global temperature. For energy sustainability and minimization of the effects of global warming, an approach to understand CO capturing and a carbon neutral culture is extremely essential in the present circumstances. The CO emission from vehicles and industries can be minimized using energy cost-effective techniques and can be converted more selectively into reusable fuels via thermochemical, electrochemical, photochemical, photocatalytic, electrocatalytic, biological and inorganic carbonate-based approaches.

Herein, we demonstrate a two-in-one strategy for efficient neutral electrosynthesis of H2O2 via two-electron oxygen reduction reaction (2e-ORR), achieved by synergistically fine-modulating both the local microenvironment and electronic structure of indium (In) single atom (SA) sites. Through a series of finite elemental simulations and experimental analysis, we highlight the significant impact of phosphorous (P) doping on an optimized 2D mesoporous carbon carrier, which fosters a favorable microenvironment by improving the mass transfer and O2 enrichment, subsequently leading to an increased local pH levels. Consequently, an outstanding 2e-ORR performance is observed in neutral electrolytes, achieving over 95% selectivity for H2O2 across a broad voltage range of 0.

SbTe-based flexible thin films can be utilized in the fabrication of self-powered wearable devices due to their huge potential in thermoelectric performance. Although doping can significantly enhance the power factor value, the process of identifying suitable dopants is typically accompanied by numerous repeating experiments. Herein, we introduce Zn doping into thermally diffused p-type SbTe flexible thin films with a candidate dopant validated using the first-principles calculations.

We report a green approach to prepare carbon dots (CDs) with fresh tomatoes as carbon sources and amino acids as dopants (ACDs) by a microwave assisted method. The synthesised CDs were analysed by UV-visible absorption spectroscopy, photoluminescence spectroscopy, high resolution transmission electron spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray photo electron spectroscopy. An MTT assay was used to evaluate the cytotoxicity of CDs toward L929 cells and found that CDs exhibit low cytotoxicity.

Globally, drug-impaired driving fatalities now exceed those from drunk driving, urging the need for on-site and roadside detection methods. In this study, a photothermal desorption and reagent-assisted low-temperature plasma ionization miniature ion trap mass spectrometer (PDRA-LTP-ITMS) was developed for on-site detection of drug-impaired driving. The pseudomultiple reaction monitoring (MRM) in PDRA-LTP-ITMS enables continuous ion selection during ion introduction and improved sensitivity to nearly 3-fold compared with the conventional full scan mode.
