Solution-processed lead iodide (PbI ) governs the charge transport characteristics in the hybrid metal halide perovskites. Besides being a precursor in enhancing the performance of perovskite solar cells, PbI alone offers remarkable optical and ultrasensitive photoresponsive properties that remain largely unexplored. Here, the photophysics and the ultrafast carrier dynamics of the solution processed PbI thin film is probed experimentally. A PbI integrated metamaterial photonic device with switchable picosecond time response at extremely low photoexcitation fluences is demonstrated. Further, findings show strongly confined terahertz field induced tailoring of sensitivity and switching time of the metamaterial resonances for different thicknesses of PbI thin film. The approach has two far reaching consequences: the first lead-iodide-based ultrafast photonic device and resonantly confined electromagnetic field tailored transient nonequilibrium dynamics of PbI which could also be applied to a broad range of semiconductors for designing on-chip, ultrafast, all-optical switchable photonic devices.

Solution-processed oxide-based heterojunctions that work in diverse directions will be ideal alternatives for cost-effective, stable, and multifunctional devices. Here, we have reported a stable multilevel resistive switching (RS) at the solution-processed TiO/ZnFeO heterointerface with endurance stability over 10 cycles and retention over 10 s. It can maintain the switching after dripping water onto the device, followed by drying at 100 °C and at an operating temperature of up to 200 °C.

Near-infrared (NIR) image sensors based on solution-processed thin film are gaining prominence in various applications, including security detection, remote sensing, medical imaging, and environmental monitoring, owing to superior penetration capabilities of NIR light. However, the reported perovskite image sensors suffer from limited resolution and performance due to poor structural integrity, bioincompatibility, and constrained response wavelength range from lead-based perovskite materials employed. In this study, we present non-toxic quasi-single-crystal (QSC) CH(NH)SnI (FASnI) perovskite films, prepared via a simple spin-coating technique, that demonstrate high structural integrity and effective NIR response.

Lead halide perovskite single crystals (LHPSC) are promising for room-temperature γ-ray spectroscopy in radiation detection. While MA(CHNH)-based LHPSCs are the most straightforward and cost-effective to synthesize from solution, their performance in γ-ray spectroscopy is hindered by significant noise and ion migration at high bias, which degrades their energy resolution (ER). The work introduced an n-type/intrinsic/n-type photodiode incorporating passivation layers of MA-based LHPSCs, grown through solution-process epitaxial growth.

Aiming at the fabrication of circularly polarized organic light-emitting diodes (CP-OLEDs) with high dissymmetry factors (g) and color purity through the employment of novel chiral source, topologically chiral [2]catenanes were first utilized as the key chiral skeleton to construct novel multi-resonance thermally activated delayed fluorescence (MR-TADF) emitters. Impressively, the efficient chirality induction and unique switchable feature of topologically chiral [2]catenane not only lead to a high |g| value up to 1.6×10 but also facilitate in situ dynamic switching of the full-width at half-maximum (FWHM) and circularly polarized luminescence (CPL).
