The use of quality index charts is considered as an effective mean for evaluating the mechanical performance of Aluminum alloys for industrial engineering applications. The current study was carried out to investigate the influences of multiple-interrupted temperatures aging and quenching media (water versus air) on the quality index performance and precipitations evolution of A357 Aluminum semi solid alloys. Regarding the lack of similar investigations applied on such alloys, the quality index charts were generated for Al-Si-Mg semi solid castings based on its tensile properties. These charts are used to determine the quality index, in MPa, as a simple mean for compromising the strength and ductility together in one value using the Drouzy model. The multiple temperatures aging cycles were applied to improve the quality index values of Al-Si-Mg semi solid alloys for enhancing its characteristic and performance to resist the mechanical failures relating to automotive dynamic parts. The evolution of MgSi hardening precipitates, formed for specific thermal aging cycles, was investigated using transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The results obtained in this work revealed that the optimum quality index values were obtained by the application of T6-thermal under-aging treatment cycles. The regression models, using a statistical design of experiments, indicated that the optimum strength and high-quality index values were obtained by the application of interrupted thermal aging cycles, mainly C-T6/T4/T7 conditions.

An integrated understanding of dissolved phosphorous (DP) export mechanism and controls on export over dry and wet periods is crucial for riverine ecological restorations in dammed river basins considering its high bioavailability and retention rates at dams. Riverine DP transport patterns (composition, sources, and transport pathways), export controls, and fate were investigated over the 2020 wet season (5 events) and dry seasons before and after it (2 events: dry and dry) in a semi-arid, small-dammed watershed to comprehend the links between terrestrial DP sources and aquatic DP sinks. Close spatiotemporal monitoring of the full range of phosphorous and total suspended solids (TSSs) and subsequent analyses (hysteresis, hierarchical partitioning, and coefficient of variation) provided the basis for the study.

Aim: This study aims to explore the experiences and feelings of women of childbearing age with diabetes skin pruritus after being diagnosed.
Methods: Using the Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis method, semi-structured interviews were conducted with women of childbearing age who suffer from diabetes skin pruritus, followed by data analysis.
Results: Three superordinate themes and eight subthemes were identified, including psychological distress (self-identity, lack of understanding from others, emotional damage and self-disgust), physical impairment (loss of bodily control, treatment challenges, impact on female sexual characteristics), and coping post-trauma (social withdrawal, active coping).

Compounding medications in pharmacies is a common practice for patients with prescriptions that are not available commercially, but it is a laborious and error-prone task. The incorporation of emerging technologies to prepare personalised medication, such as 3D printing, has been delayed in smaller pharmacies due to concerns about potential workflow disruptions and learning curves associated with novel technologies. This study examines the use in a community pharmacy of a pharmaceutical 3D printer to auto-fill capsules and blisters using semisolid extrusion, incorporating an integrated quality control system.

The materials removed in the oil separation units of wastewater treatment plants can be referred to as fat, oil and grease (FOG) waste. FOG waste accumulation in treatment plants can cause clogging of pipes, production of excessive scums and foams, and negatively affect air/liquid oxygen transfer. While conventional disposal routes of this material can be limited by its water and organic content, FOG can represent a source of bio-energy other than bio-diesel production.

In recent years, with the increasing patient population, the need for complex and patient-centric medications has increased enormously. Traditional manufacturing techniques such as direct blending, high shear granulation, and dry granulation can be used to develop simple solid oral medications. However, it is well known that "one size fits all" is not true for pharmaceutical medicines.
