Environmental low-dose nanosized carbon black exposure aggravates lung fibrosis-induced by radiation in vivo and in vitro.

Sci Total Environ

March 2025

Department of Occupational and Environmental Health, Xiangya School of Public Health, Central South University, Changsha, Hunan Province 410078, China. Electronic address:

The question of whether the emerging nano-material, nanosized carbon black (CB) could influence the lung damage-induced by radiation exposure in cancer patients or in acute nuclear accident population remains incompletely uncovered. Therefore, our study investigated potential health risk from environmental low-dose CB exposure level (0.1 mg/kg/d, once per three days, for 12 weeks) via nasal instillation using a lung fibrosis mouse model induced by radiation.

Blood-brain barrier crossing biopolymer activates immunity in primary brain lymphoma by targeting c-Myc and α-PD-1: Artificial intelligence analysis.

J Control Release

March 2025

Department of Molecular Pharmaceutics/CCCD, University of Utah, 20 S 2030 E, Salt Lake City, UT 84112, United States. Electronic address:

Primary Central Nervous System Lymphoma is an aggressive central nervous system neoplasm with poor response to pharmacological treatment, partially due to insufficient drug delivery across blood-brain barrier. In this study, we developed a novel therapy for this lymphoma by combining a targeted nanopolymer treatment with an immune checkpoint inhibitor antibody (anti-PD-1). A N-(2-hydroxypropyl)methacrylamide copolymer-based nanoconjugate was designed to block tumor cell c-Myc oncogene expression by antisense oligonucleotide.

Micro/Nano-plastics (M/NPs) have emerged as a globally concerning pollutant. However, research on the phytotoxicity of M/NPs on plant secondary metabolism and the underlying molecular mechanisms is still limited. Pepper, a widely cultivated vegetable, is rich in flavonoids, which are a class of important secondary metabolites found throughout the plant kingdom with multiple biological functions.

Lithium Nitrate-Mediated Low-Volatile Deep Eutectic Electrolyte for Highly Stable Lithium-Oxygen Batteries.

ACS Nano

March 2025

State Key Laboratory of Precision Welding & Joining of Materials and Structures, School of Materials Science and Engineering, Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen), Shenzhen 518055, China.

Lithium-oxygen batteries (LOBs), with an extremely high theoretical energy density (3500 Wh kg), have been regarded as potential candidates for future large-scale energy storage facilities. However, the unique semiopen system puts a hurdle on the long-lasting operation of LOBs with critical issues like the severe volatilization of the aprotic electrolyte, surface passivation or dendrite growth of the lithium metal anode, and the sluggish oxygen redox reactions. Herein, we propose a strategy to tackle the above issues with a solvation structure regulated deep eutectic electrolyte (DEE) for LOBs.

Regulating the spray behavior of liquids is of great importance in various practical applications, especially in improving pesticide utilization efficiency because the spray states are directly related to the spray drift and deposition efficiency. The components of pesticides, including surfactants, polymers, and active ingredients, were found to influence spray behavior significantly. However, because of both the complexity of interactions in sprayed liquids and the technology limit, only a few specific aspects of the formation of droplets have been studied, and a comprehensive and general understanding is still lacking.
