An indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) has been developed for the identification of smoked meat from salmon ( Salmo salar ), trout ( Oncorhynchus mykiss ), and bream ( Erama raii ). The assay uses polyclonal antibodies raised in rabbits against soluble proteins of muscle from salmon (anti-SSP), trout (anti-TSP), and bream (anti-BSP) which are rendered species-specific by blocking them with the heterologous soluble muscle proteins. The blocked antibodies were used to detect the samples from smoked fish bound to the wells of a microtiter plate. Immunorecognition of polyclonal antibodies adsorbed to fish samples was made with goat anti-rabbit immunoglobulins conjugated to the enzyme horseradish peroxidase. Subsequent enzymic coversion of the substrate allowed clear species identification of smoked meat of salmon, trout, and bream.

The most frequently reported post-coronavirus disease of 2019 (COVID-19) symptoms include shortness of breath, fatigue, and cognitive disturbances, with reports of persistent dyspnea ranging between 26% and 41%. There is an urgent need to understand the risk factors and predictors for persistent COVID-19 dyspnea in individuals at all levels of COVID-19 illness severity, to enable the implementation of targeted interventions for those likely to be most affected with persistent dyspnea. Thus, the purpose of this systematic review is to explore the risk factors and predictors that are associated with persistent dyspnea in the post-COVID-19 population.

Objective: This study aimed to develop and internally validate a nomogram in predicting the risk of recurrent respiratory tract infection (RRTI) in children.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed, involving 150 children with RRTI and 151 healthy controls, aged 0-14 years, admitted to or selected from the Pediatric Department of Yixing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine between June 2022 and June 2023. Data were gathered through a comprehensive questionnaire survey on risk factors associated with RRTI.
