Background And Purpose: In proton therapy, a relative biological effectiveness (RBE) of 1.1 is used toreach an isoeffective biological response between photon and proton doses. However, the RBE varies with biological endpoints and linear energy transfer (LET), two key parameters in radiotherapy.

Exercise activates the dorsal hippocampus that triggers synaptic and cellar plasticity and ultimately promotes memory formation. For decades, these benefits have been explored using demanding and stress-response-inducing exercise at moderate-to-vigorous intensities. In contrast, our translational research with animals and humans has focused on light-intensity exercise (light exercise) below the lactate threshold (LT), which almost anyone can safely perform with minimal stress.

Although interleukin (IL)-6 is considered immunosuppressive and tumor-promoting, emerging evidence suggests that it may support antitumor immunity. While combining immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) and radiotherapy in patients with pancreatic cancer (PC) has yielded promising clinical results, the addition of an anti-IL-6 receptor (IL-6R) antibody has failed to elicit clinical benefits. Notably, a robust TGFβ-specific immune response at baseline in PC patients treated solely with ICIs and radiotherapy correlated with improved survival.

Background: Using [F]altanserin, a serotonin 2A receptor (5-HTR) antagonist Positron Emission Tomography (PET) tracer, a positive association between cortical 5-HTR binding and the inward-directed facets of neuroticism has been demonstrated in healthy individuals. Psilocybin, a 5-HTR agonist, shows promise for the treatment of depression, reducing neuroticism and mood symptoms potentially via hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) modulation. 5-HTR and neuroticism are both modulated by HPA axis function.
