Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States, largely due to its poor five-year survival rate and frequent late-stage diagnosis. A significant barrier to early detection even in high-risk cohorts is that the pancreas often appears morphologically normal during the pre-diagnostic phase. Yet, the disease can progress rapidly from subclinical stages to widespread metastasis, undermining the effectiveness of screening.

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) affects many populations. This study aims to develop a predictive model and create a nomogram for assessing the risk of end-stage renal disease (ESRD) in patients diagnosed with SLE. Data from electronic health records of SLE patients treated at the Affiliated Hospital of North Sichuan Medical College between 2013 and 2023 were collected.

Occult nodal spread and metastatic disease require longstanding imaging and biochemical assessments for thyroid cancer, a disease that has a propensity for diffuse, small-volume disease. We have developed a Cu-labeled platelet-derived growth factor receptor α (PDGFRA) antibody for immuno-PET of PDGFRA in metastatic papillary thyroid cancer (PTC). The present work describes the discovery of small cyclic PDGFRA-targeting peptides, their binding features, and radiolabeling with positron emitter gallium-68 (Ga) for characterization in thyroid cancer models.
