A 74-year-old woman visited our hospital because of right chest pain and fatigue. Laboratory examinations revealed pancytopenia and an elevated level of serum lactate dehydrogenase. Although bone lesions were detected by computed tomography, there was no lymphadenopathy. Blastoid cells were evident in the bone marrow. From the patient's medical history and results of immunohistological and chromosomal analysis, she was diagnosed as having diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, not otherwise specified. This form of presentation of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma is very rare, and emphasizes the need for careful evaluation of such cases, including bone marrow biopsy for accurate diagnosis.

Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) establishes persistent infection, causes infectious mononucleosis, is a major trigger for multiple sclerosis and contributes to multiple cancers. Yet, knowledge remains incomplete about how the virus remodels host B cells to support lytic replication. We previously identified that EBV lytic replication results in selective depletion of plasma membrane (PM) B cell receptor (BCR) complexes, composed of immunoglobulin and the CD79A and CD79B signaling chains.

Mature aggressive B-cell lymphomas, such as Burkitt lymphoma (BL) and Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), show variations in microRNA (miRNA) expression. The entity of High-grade B-cell lymphoma with 11q aberration (HGBCL-11q) shares several biological features with both BL and DLBCL but data on its miRNA expression profile are yet scarce. Hence, this study aims to analyze the potential differences in miRNA expression of HGBCL-11q compared to BL and DLBCL.

Ensuring the stability of electrocatalysts is paramount to the success of electrochemical energy conversion devices. Degradation is a fundamental process involving the release of positively charged metal ions into the electric double layer (EDL) and their subsequent diffusion into the bulk electrolyte. However, despite its vital importance in achieving prolonged electrocatalysis, the underlying causality of catalyst dissolution with the EDL structure remains largely unknown.

The extensive commercialization of practical solid-state batteries (SSBs) necessitates the development of high-loading solid-state cathodes with fast charging capability. However, electrochemical kinetics are severely delayed in thick cathodes due to tortuous ion transport pathways and slow solid-solid ion diffusion, which limit the achievable capacity of SSBs at high current densities. In this work, we propose a conductivity gradient cathode with low-tortuosity to enable facile ion transport and counterbalance ion concentration gradient, thereby overcoming the kinetic limitations and achieving fast charging capabilities in thick cathodes.

Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy plays a critical role in the treatment of B-cell hematologic malignancies. The combination of PD-1 inhibitors and CAR-T has shown encouraging results in treating patients with relapsed/refractory (R/R) diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). However, there are still cases where treatment is ineffective.
