Isolated bone involvement of tuberculosis is uncommon and mainly occurs among immunocompromised young adults. Initially, it can mimick an infection due to common germ or a tumor when its evolution is chronic. We here report the case of a 15-year old female patient with no particular previous history presenting with hard and painless swelling on the upper third of the leg with chronic evolution. Common X-ray showed lytic lesion in the upper metaphysiary region of the tibia with periosteal reaction. MRI showed cortical rupture with extension to the soft parts appearing as fluid collection with a thick wall, intensely enhancing after gadolinium injection. Surgical biopsy with histological analysis allowed to retain the diagnosis of tuberculous osteitis. This clinical case emphasizes the role of MRI in the examination of musculoskeletal pathologies.

Faculty of Psychology, MOE Key Laboratory of Cognition and Personality, Southwest University, Chongqing, 400715 China.

Background: The neural mechanisms and long-term effects of perceived stress (PS) and self-control (SC) on mental health (MH) are not fully understood. This study seeks to investigate the influence of PS and SC on MH and to identify their neural correlates using fMRI.

Methods: A total of 817 college students participated in behavioral assessments, including the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS), Self-Control Scale (SCS), and Mental Health Continuum Short Form (MHC-SF).

This case report describes a 70-year-old male presenting with limb weakness, urinary retention and tandem cervical and lumbar spinal stenosis with complicating white cord syndrome, a rare reperfusion injury post decompression surgery. Initially admitted following an unwitnessed fall, the patient's neurological examination indicated that progressive weakness of the limbs and sensory loss etiology is cervical and lumbar spondylosis with severe spinal canal stenosis, confirmed by imaging. Due to rapid deterioration, he underwent C5 corpectomy, cervical decompression and fusion.

Intracranial complications of otitis media are rare but pose a significant risk of morbidity and mortality. We report a case of a 27-year-old man with cognitive impairment who presented with fever, right-sided otalgia, otorrhea, and vomiting for three days. His neurological examination was unremarkable, and a brain computed tomography (CT) revealed right-sided otomastoiditis without intraparenchymal lesions.
