This study was designed to compare optical biometry measurements and predicted refraction in cataract patients with high myopia [axial length (AL) ≥26 mm] using OA-2000 and IOL Master 500. Ocular biometry measurements were performed using both biometers before surgery. Uneventful cataract surgery was performed in all patients. Postoperative manifest refraction was obtained 3wk after surgery or later. A total of 67 eyes were examined. The AL, keratometry (K), and anterior chamber depth (ACD) of the two biometers showed excellent agreement. Predicted errors were similar and a strong positive correlation was observed (=0.909). Out of 21 eyes (31.34%) with unsuccessful AL readings using the IOL Master 500, 20 eyes of them could be measured using OA-2000. Therefore, the biometric parameters measured by the two biometers showed good agreement. However, OA-2000 had a lower AL measurement failure rate.

Purpose: To compare the refractive accuracy of the Barrett True axial length (BTAL) formula, newly integrated into ARGOS, with that of the Barrett Universal II (BUII) formula calculated using axial length (AL) from IOL Master 700.
Setting: Private clinics in Kanagawa, Japan.
Design: Retrospective observational study.

Purpose: To comprehensively evaluate the tilt of the crystalline lens in phakic eyes and its relationship with optical biometry parameters.
Setting: The retrospective analysis was conducted at the Department for Ophthalmology and Optometry, Kepler University Clinic in Linz, Austria.
Design: Lens tilt assessment was performed through a combined analysis of optical biometry (IOL Master 700) and anterior segment optical coherence tomography (AS-OCT) data to understand its relationship.

Given close relationships between ocular structure and ophthalmic disease, ocular biometry measurements (including axial length, lens thickness, anterior chamber depth, and keratometry values) may be leveraged as features in the prediction of eye diseases. However, ocular biometry measurements are often stored as PDFs rather than as structured data in electronic health records. Thus, time-consuming and laborious manual data entry is required for using biometry data as a disease predictor.

Relative anterior microphthalmos (RAM) is a rare ocular condition characterized by disproportionately small anterior segments but normal axial length (corneal diameter < 11 mm and axial length > 20 mm). This study aimed to determine the prevalence of RAM and its association with glaucoma utilizing IOL Master 700 data (Carl Zeiss Meditec, Jena, Germany). A retrospective analysis was conducted of the biometric parameters of 6,407 eyes, and 115 cases of RAM were identified.
