Access to medicine is fundamental to the provision of equitable health systems. However, availability of affordable quality-assured medicines continues to be poor, especially in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs). Thus, understanding the insecticide resistance profile and population structure of the recently detected An. stephensi population in Fiq, Ethiopia, is critical to inform vector control to stop the spread of this invasive malaria species in the country.

Spina bifida is a congenital neural tube defect that results in abnormal development of the spine and central nervous system. Infants born with this condition face a range of physical disabilities and associated complications. Although the global burden has declined in recent decades due to folic acid fortification and prenatal screening, spina bifida remains a significant public health challenge in many low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), particularly in sub-Saharan Africa.

We aimed to develop a registry ('Keto-Reg') for individuals with epilepsy referred for ketogenic dietary therapy (KDT) and to test feasibility of its implementation. The purpose of the registry is to provide a platform for collaborative research to answer specific research questions regarding long-term clinical and safety outcomes and to identify the most suitable candidates for KDT. Registry data items were determined via an international Delphi survey of KDT healthcare professionals, and then entered into an electronic platform.
