An in-depth understanding of carbon dynamics and ecosystem productivity is essential for conservation and management of different ecosystems. Ecosystem dynamics and carbon budget are assessed by estimating net ecosystem production (NEP) across different global ecosystems. An ecological productivity assessment of forest and floating meadow ecosystems in Keibul Lamjao National Park (KLNP), Manipur, North East India, was conducted using the multi-criteria decision-making process namely, gray relational analysis (GRA).

Wood-decay fungi, including white- and brown-decay fungi, are well known for their ability to degrade lignin and cellulose, respectively. The combined use of these fungi can increase the decomposition of woody substrates. Research has indicated that these fungi also exhibit inhibitory effects against , the causative agent of pine wilt disease (PWD).

Background: Pneumonia is an acute respiratory infection that has emerged as the predominant catalyst for escalating mortality rates worldwide. In the pursuit of the prevention and prediction of pneumonia, this work employs the development of an advanced deep-learning model by using a federated learning framework. The deep learning models rely on the utilization of a centralized system for disease prediction on the medical imaging data and pose risks of data breaches and exploitation; however, federated learning is a decentralized architecture which significantly reduces data privacy concerns.

Multivariate clinical time series data, such as those contained in Electronic Health Records (EHR), often exhibit high levels of irregularity, notably, many missing values and varying time intervals. Existing methods usually construct deep neural network architectures that combine recurrent neural networks and time decay mechanisms to model variable correlations, impute missing values, and capture the impact of varying time intervals. The complete data matrices thus obtained from the imputation task are used for downstream risk prediction tasks.
