Ganglion cysts are commonly encountered benign lesions, primarily localized near the wrist and hand but occasionally observed in the lower extremities. These cysts, characterized by their encapsulation in dense connective tissue, typically present with minimal symptoms, albeit occasionally causing discomfort or limited mobility. Herein, a unique case of a ganglion cyst in the posterior distal lower extremity is presented, located near the popliteal neurovascular structures and without any connection to the knee joint.

Background: In artificial intelligence for ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia, accurate nerve identification is essential. The technology community typically favours objective metrics of pixel overlap on still-frame images, whereas clinical assessments often use subjective evaluation of cine loops by physician experts. No clinically acceptable threshold of pixel overlap has been defined for nerve segmentation.

Purpose: Interspace infiltration between the posterior knee capsule and popliteal artery (iPACK) is an effective method for pain control following total knee arthroplasty (TKA). However, this procedure still requires an experienced physician to perform ultrasound-guided injections postoperatively, and the patient will need to undergo additional injections aside from the surgery. This study investigates a novel, simplified intraoperative iPACK (I-iPACK) technique, applied during surgery without the need for ultrasound or an anesthesiologist.

Background: Clinical understanding of the obturator nerve's cutaneous and motor branches is crucial for performing effective obturator nerve blocks, particularly for procedures involving the thigh and hip. Literature and anatomical references report highly variable patterns of the frequency and cutaneous distribution of obturator nerve innervation. This study examines the frequency and distribution of the cutaneous branch of the anterior ramus of the obturator nerve (cb-ar-ON) and assesses the most effective anatomical sites for nerve blockade.

Background: Intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) guidance has been shown to yield favorable outcomes for endovascular treatment of femoropopliteal artery (FPA) disease with drug-coated balloon (DCB) angioplasty. However, the specific benefits of IVUS for treatment of complex FPA lesions remain uncertain.
Objectives: In this study, the authors compared the clinical impact of IVUS-guided vs angiography-guided DCB angioplasty in patients with complex or noncomplex FPA lesions.
