While it appears that there are a variety of factors that exacerbate IBD, it is frustrating that symptoms can persist and worsen even when environmental insults are removed. We suggest that there may be a positive feedback loop which perpetuates the inflammatory response in IBD patients. The loop is triggered by vitamin D deficiency which reduces calcium uptake. Lowered vitamin D and calcium interfere with anti-inflammatory pathways. Inflammation of the mucosa inhibits absorption of calcium and thus perpetuates the reduced anti-inflammatory response. A number of predictions follow from this hypothesis and are supported by geographic and lifestyle patterns in IBD incidence and prevalence.

Early Intervention in Psychosis Advisory Unit for South-East Norway, Division of Mental Health and Addiction, Oslo University Hospital, Oslo, Norway.
Background: Shared decision-making between clinicians and service users is crucial in mental health care. One significant barrier to achieving this goal is the lack of user-centered services. Integrating digital tools into mental health services holds promise for addressing some of these challenges.

Despite positive feedback from the OSCE assignments, students often reported experiencing anxiety before the assignments. In 2023, the PMHNP faculty implemented a pre-OSCE practice assignment designed for students to review an initial psychiatric evaluation by interviewing a peer.

In 2023, faculty from two nursing schools used the International Society for Professional Identity in Nursing (ISPIN) definitions and domains to incorporate professional identity in nursing language in a template for a nursing student handbook.
Method: Faculty evaluated the professional identity in nursing model and replaced the framework for professionalism in the school of nursing's handbook.

Objective: To report on the feasibility and outcomes of universal language promotion intervention (Talk With Me Baby [TWMB]) embedded within routine well-child care for children from birth to 3-years old.
Methods: Across 2 primary care clinics, 29 health care team members participated in a 12-month trial to deliver TWMB within well-child care visits. Feasibility was based on clinician feedback during the trial, clinician knowledge assessments, and clinic data.

Jasmonate (JA), a key plant hormone, regulates various aspects of plant development and stress responses, primarily through the degradation of canonical jasmonate-ZIM domain (JAZ) proteins by the SCF complex. While JAZ8, a non-canonical JAZ protein lacking the degron signal, has been shown to repress JA responses, the mechanism by which JA inhibits JAZ8 activity remains unclear. Here, we demonstrate that Arabidopsis ethylene response factor 114 (ERF114), ERF115, and ERF109 regulate JA signaling through interacting with JAZ8.
