Fungus is well capable of producing reproductive failures in bovines. As fungus is an opportunistic pathogen, there are more chances for fungus to cause infection in the uterus when certain predisposing factors like prolonged intra-uterine antibiotic therapy, persistent endometritis, presence of necrotic foci, immunosuppression, and pneumovagina are available. Various authors have reported the incidence of fungal endometritis in repeat breeder endometritic cows and buffaloes. Uterine culture along with the cytological examination of the uterine secretions considered being best way to diagnose this condition; however, endometrial biopsy can be used to access the efficacy of treatment to invasive yeast. Intra-uterine treatment with antiseptic solutions and Lugol's iodine had been found effective in bovines..

Taylorella equigenitalis is the causative agent of sexually transmitted contagious equine metritis. Infections manifest as cervicitis, vaginitis and endometritis and cause temporary infertility and miscarriages of mares. While previous studies have analyzed this organism for various parameters, the evolutionary dynamics of this pathogen, including the emergence of antibiotic resistance, remains unresolved.

Endometritis is one of the main reproductive disorders in mares and due to the increasing prevalence of antibiotic resistance, the use of probiotics in the prevention and treatment of endometritis in mares has gained interest, given their potential to restore and maintain a healthy uterine microbiota. Therefore, the aim of this study was to evaluate the antimicrobial properties of total metabolites of Lactobacillus acidophilus (LA) and Lactiplantibacillus plantarum (LP) against common equine endometrial pathogenic bacteria in vitro (Acinetobacter baumannii, Escherichia coli (1), Escherichia coli (2), Escherichia coli (3), Escherichia coli (4), Enterobacter cloacae, Streptococcus equi, Staphylococcus warneri, Actinobacillus equi and Klebesiella pneumoniae), as well as to assess their low molecular weight metabolites (loM) and extracellular vesicle (EVs) inhibition capacity over a multidrug-resistant E. coli isolated from mares with clinical endometritis.

Bovine trichomoniasis is a reproductive illness that affects cattle causing pyometra, early to mid-pregnancy miscarriages, and lower birth rates. is a flagellated protozoan which first discovered in France in 1888 and composts three phases during its lifecycle including trophozoite, cyst, and pseudocyst. In addition, several factors contributed to the prevalence of trichomoniasis and fall into three categories are management, cow, and bull-related factors.

Abnormal female reproductive tract microbiota are associated with gynecological disorders such as endometriosis or chronic endometritis and may affect reproductive outcomes. However, the differential diagnostic utility of the vaginal or the endometrial microbiome and the impact of important technical covariates such as the choice of hypervariable regions for 16 S rRNA sequencing remain to be characterized. The aim of this retrospective study was to compare vaginal and endometrial microbiomes in IVF patients diagnosed with implantation failure (IF) and/or recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL) and to investigate the overlap between established vaginal and endometrial microbiome classification schemes.
