Background: The experience with Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols in neonatal intestinal surgery is very limited. We present the development and implementation of an Enhanced Recovery Protocol (ERP) designed specifically for neonates treated for congenital duodenal obstruction (CDO), and early outcome after implementation.
Methods: An ERP for CDO was developed and implemented.

(1) Background: This article addresses the harmful traditional practice of breast ironing, which primarily affects girls and adolescents in several countries, particularly in Cameroon. The practice involves applying heat and pressure to developing breasts to delay their growth, with the goal of protecting girls from sexual abuse, early pregnancy, and forced marriages. While culturally accepted, breast ironing has severe physical, psychological, and social consequences, including damage to mammary glands, pain, infections, and potential long-term health complications.

Bone cancer pain (BCP) is one of the most severe complications faced by patients with cancer; however, current pharmacological options are limited. Curcumin has been demonstrated to possess anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties; however, our preliminary research found that the analgesic efficiency of curcumin is not high in BCP. Consequently, curcumin analogs have emerged as a significant focus of our research.
