Article Abstract

The data presented in this article related to the research article entitled "Petrology and Geochemistry of the Precambrian granitoids from the part of Gadwal schist belt, Eastern Dharwar craton India". The granitoids from the Gadwal schist belt area of the Telangana State are confined to Precambrian gneissic complex part of Eastern Dharwar Craton. The article described the petrology and whole rock geochemistry in the Precambrian gneissic complex part of gadwall schist belt. The whole rock geochemistry is made publicity available to enable significant analyzes.

The demand for sustainable development goals and the absence of systematic development and organised exploration for gold has prompted this study to integrate magnetic and radiometric datasets with lithology to evaluate the gold mineralisation potential in the Ilesha schist belt. This study considers 3168.72 km of the Ilesha schist belt in southwestern Nigeria, a frontier belt for gold deposits.

Currently, metamorphic rock is a common target for natural gas exploration, and reservoirs are the key factors restricting natural gas exploration and development in metamorphic rocks. The deep metamorphic rock gas reservoir in the central paleo-uplift of the northern Songliao Basin has good exploration and development potential. In this study, we use a combination of qualitative descriptions and quantitative analysis to comprehensively analyze the pore characteristics of the reservoir and explore the factors controlling the pore characteristics of the metamorphic rock reservoir in the central paleo-uplift belt of the Songliao Basin.

Geological data integration and spatial analysis for structural elucidation are more assertive approaches for reconnaissance scale mineral exploration. In this study, several methods involving Fry analysis, distance correlation analysis, prediction area plots as well as knowledge driven predictive models including TOPSIS, ARAS and MOORA were systematically employed for unravelling the spatial geological attributes related to gold mineralisation. Additionally, statistical validation of knowledge driven predictive models were implemented using the Receiver Operating Characteristic/Area Under Curve analysis (ROC/AUC).

The present study combined analysis of satellite, aeromagnetic and radiometric data for evaluation of structural features within the Ife-Ilesha schist belt. Shuttle Radar Topographic Mission digital elevation data have been enhanced using hill-shading technique for the delineation of morphological features. The superposition of total gradient amplitude lineaments on the 3-D Euler deconvolution map revealed the trends and depth of structural features within the study region.

The Okemesi area, southwestern Nigeria, is part of the Ilesha schist belt and play host to the Okemesi fold belt and the Ifewara Shear Zone. Nappe structures had been proposed for some parts of Southwestern Nigeria without very clear meso or micro structural evidence. This study provides a lot of new structural evidences to substantiate the inferred Nappe structures within the Okemesi fold belt.
