Radiotherapy is one of the treatments for cancer, which leads to many oral side effects that affect the quality of life of the patient; among them, trismus is considered. Considering the various therapies to treat this collateral effect of radiotherapy, photobiomodulation (PBM) with low-level laser is a contemporary alternative. In this article, an all-clinical case report is presented in which the patient was given trismus after radiotherapy and PBM with low-level laser. The measurement of the buccal opening was evaluated in each treatment session with a digital caliper, and the pain was evaluated through the visual analog scale (VAS). The efficacy of the PBM protocol on the trismus after radiotherapy was evidenced by the decrease of pain and increase of the buccal opening. The use of PBM with low-level laser is an option for the treatment of trimus after radiotherapy.

Since the introduction of CO fractional laser in dermatology, multiple clinical evidences have shown its effectiveness in treating alopecia areata(AA). However, the extent of efficacy remains under-researched, with a lack of extensive and large-scale comparisons, which is a topic of global discussion. We present a case of a 13-year-old male child with AA.

Numerous research studies have delved into the potential effect of LASER therapy on alleviating pain associated with plantar fasciitis. However, the distinct effects of both High Intensity and Low Intensity LASER therapy (HILT/LILT) on addressing plantar fasciitis pain have not been thoroughly investigated. This systematic review seeks to provide a comprehensive summary of the present body of literature regarding the use of LASER therapy in managing pain related to plantar fasciitis.

The treatment of chronic testicular pain is a complex condition that will be encountered by most practicing clinicians. In this study, the influence of low-level laser irradiation of the red and infrared spectral range for treating chronic testicular pain was evaluated and compared. In this double-blind, placebo-controlled randomized clinical trial study, 60 patients were randomly divided into three groups of 20: (1) low-level laser group with red (650 nm, 50 mW), (2) low-level laser group with infrared (820 nm, 100 mW) and (3) laser placebo group.

Remote photobiomodulation ameliorates behavioral and neuropathological outcomes in a rat model of repeated closed head injury.

Repeated closed-head injuries (rCHI) from activities like contact sports, falls, military combat, and traffic accidents pose a serious risk due to their cumulative impact on the brain. Often, rCHI is not diagnosed until symptoms of irreversible brain damage appear, highlighting the need for preventive measures. This study assessed the prophylactic efficacy of remote photobiomodulation (PBM) targeted at the lungs against rCHI-induced brain injury and associated behavioral deficits.
