Background: Studies are limited regarding the role of intersectional social determinants of health in asymptomatic Alzheimer's disease neuropathology (ADNP).
Method: We analyzed data on 3,107 participants in the National Alzheimer's Coordinating Center's Neuropathology Dataset who had a visit ≤24 months before autopsy and confirmed ADNP (moderate to frequent neuritic plaques and Braak Stage III-VI). Groups were defined based on the presence (symptomatic ADNP, n = 2,956) or absence (asymptomatic ADNP, n = 151) of an MCI/dementia diagnosis at the final visit before death.

Although diabetic polyneuropathy (DPN) has a very high prevalence among people with diabetes, gait analysis using cyclograms is very limited, and cyclogram research, in general, is limited to standard measures available in software packages. In this study, cyclograms (movements of the centre of pressure, COP, on and between the plantar surfaces) of diabetics and healthy individuals recorded with a smart insole were compared in terms of geometry and balance index, BI. The latter was calculated as the summed product of standard deviations of cyclogram markers, i.

Background: The activation of macrophages or microglia in patients' whole body or local eyes play significant roles in diabetic retinopathy (DR). Mitochondrial function regulates the inflammatory polarization of macrophages. Therefore, the common mechanism of mitochondrial related genes (MRGs) and macrophage polarisation related genes (MPRGs) in DR is explored in our study to illustrate the pathophysiology of DR.

Purpose Of Review: Review the latest data regarding the intersection of adipose tissue (AT) and iron to meet the needs of AT metabolism and the progression of related diseases.
Recent Findings: Iron is involved in fundamental biological metabolic processes and is precisely fine-tuned within the body to maintain cellular, tissue and even systemic iron homeostasis. AT not only serves as an energy storage depot but also represents the largest endocrine organ in the human body, maintaining systemic metabolic homeostasis.

Introduction: Calcific aortic valve disease (CAVD) is increasingly prevalent among the aging population, and there is a notable lack of drug therapies. Consequently, identifying novel drug targets will be of utmost importance. Given that type 2 diabetes is an important risk factor for CAVD, we identified key genes associated with diabetes - related CAVD via various bioinformatics methods, which provide further potential molecular targets for CAVD with diabetes.
