Sixteen sulfonate derivatives of maltol were synthesized and screened for their anti-oomycete and nematicidal activity against and , respectively. Among all the compounds, , , and exhibited the most promising and pronounced anti-oomycete activity against than zoxamide, and the EC values of 25.42, 18.44, 23.69, and 27.99 mg/L, respectively; compounds , , , and exhibited potent nematicidal activity with LC values ranging from 1 to 2 mg/L, especially and showed the best promising and pronounced nematicidal activity, with LC values of 1.1762 and 1.2384 mg/L, respectively. The most common and damaging plant parasitic nematodes are root-knot nematodes (RNK). Although hemp has been clearly infected by RNK, little information is available regarding the extent of the damage and losses caused. In addition, no information is available concerning hemp seed extracts' activity against RNK.

Egg reappearance periods associated with anthelmintic treatments given to horses in winter and summer over two years.

Shortened egg reappearance periods (ERP) have been seen as an early warning of anthelmintic resistance development in cyathostomins in horses. The hypothesis has been that in these instances, efficacy against egg laying adult cyathostomins remains high, but a decline in activity against later larval stages leads to the earlier resumption of egg shedding after treatment. In this study using a single herd of horses we investigated the ERP of a number of commonly used equine anthelmintics and examined whether ERP might show seasonal variation between winter and summer.

The aim of the present research is the isolation and morphological and molecular-phenological identification of nematophagous fungi of Southern Kazakhstan for the production of effective bionematicides on their basis. Nematophagous fungi, which include nematode-trapping, ovicidal, endoparasitic, toxin-producing, and special substance-producing fungi, are among the most effective biological agents in controlling phytoparasitic nematodes. To isolate and characterize nematophagous fungi, soil samples were collected at 12 sites in three regions of Southern Kazakhstan.

Mebendazole (MBZ), a benzimidazole anthelmintic and cytoskeleton-disrupting compound, exhibits antitumor properties; however, its action on ovarian cancer (OC) is not clearly understood. This study evaluates the effect of MBZ on OC cell lines OVCAR3 and OAW42, focusing on cell proliferation, migration, invasion, and cancer stemness. The underlying mechanisms, including cytoskeletal disruption, epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), and signaling pathways, were explored.
