Objectives: To assess the panoramic radiomorphometric indices and fractal dimension in women with celiac disease.
Methods: The sample consisted of 20 women with celiac disease and 20 healthy women (control group). The mandibular cortical index classification, panoramic mandibular index, mental index, and fractal dimension were evaluated on panoramic radiographs. One-way ANOVA with post hoc Tukey test was used for comparison of the linear measurements and fractal dimension between the celiac and control groups, adopting a significance level of 5% RESULTS: There was no significant difference in panoramic radiomorphometric indices or fractal dimension between the celiac and control groups.
Conclusions: Panoramic radiomorphometric indices and fractal dimension revealed no significant bone changes in women with celiac disease.

Non-invasive assessment of pulmonary nodule malignancy remains a critical challenge in lung cancer diagnosis. Traditional methods often lack precision in differentiating benign from malignant nodules, particularly in the early stages. This study introduces an approach using multifractal spectrum analysis to quantitatively evaluate pulmonary nodule characteristics.

Purpose: To determine whether imaging features derived from fundus photographs contain 3D eye shape information beyond that available from spherical equivalent refraction (SER).
Methods: We analysed 99 eyes of 68 normal adults in the UK Biobank. An ellipsoid was fitted to the entire volume of each posterior eye (vitreous chamber without the lens)-segmented from magnetic resonance imaging of the brain.

This article systematically investigated the improvement effect of polypropylene fiber (PPF) on the mechanical and freeze-thaw properties of alkali-activated fly ash slag concrete (AAFSC) with high fly ash content and cured at room temperature. Fly ash and slag were used as precursors, with fly ash accounting for 80% of the total mass. A mixed solution of sodium hydroxide and sodium silicate was used as alkali activator, and short-cut PPF was added to improve the performance of AAFSC.

: This study aimed to evaluate the location of retinal fractal dimension (FD) abnormalities in individuals with diabetes mellitus (DM) and hypertension (HTN) without retinopathy. The annular zone of 6 mm × 6 mm OCTA images centered on the fovea was partitioned into thin annuli and analyzed using fractal analysis to measure FDs. The cohort ( = 114) had an average age of 55.

The objective was to test the generalisability of electroencephalography (EEG) markers of future pain using two independent datasets. Datasets, A [N = 20] and B [N = 35], were collected from participants with subacute spinal cord injury who did not have neuropathic pain at the time of recording. In both datasets, some participants developed pain within six months, (PDP) will others did not (PNP).
