Severe lacrimal canalicular obstruction mandates a bypass surgery of conjunctivo dacryocystorhinostomy with Lester Jones tube or alternatively retrograde intubation and pseudopunctum generation with conventional, dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR). However, in each case, the natural pathway is violated and added commitment of Lester Jones tube maintenance often leads to patient dissatisfaction. This novel surgical technique aims at de novo, anterograde, reconstruction of lacrimal canaliculi and rehabilitation of the natural lacrimal passage with interposition of autogenous saphenous vein graft. This method offered promising long-term results of functional success in terms of alleviation of epiphora, excellent cosmesis, and an optimal patient satisfaction.

Long segment ureteral reconstruction has always posed a challenge for surgeons. We report the case of a 49 years male patient with a right ureteral obstruction between the ileal orthotopic bladder and the ureter. The patient underwent a 12cm ureteral reconstruction with the prepuce.

This narrative review explores the various injection techniques utilized in facial filler procedures, emphasizing their applications, benefits, and potential complications. The increasing demand for total facial contouring and rejuvenation has led to a rise in the use of volumizing fillers and the integration of these procedures with other treatments such as toxins, threads, lasers, radiofrequency, and ultrasound. Achieving satisfactory results necessitates a comprehensive understanding of facial anatomy and the effects of aging on skin tissue.

The objective of this research is to analyze the hemodynamic differences in five configurations of left subclavian artery (LSA) stent grafts after LSA endovascular reconstruction in thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR). For numerical simulation, one three-dimensional thoracic aortic geometry model with an LSA stent graft retrograde curved orientation was reconstructed from post-TEVAR computed tomography angiography (CTA) images, and four potential LSA graft configurations were modified and reconstructed: three straight (0, 2, and 10 mm aortic extension) and one anterograde configuration. The blood perfusion of the LSA, flow field, and hemodynamic wall parameters were analyzed.

The overactivity of the masticatory muscles (bruxism or teeth clenching) is associated with stress exposure, and often leading to consistent muscle pain. However, the neural mechanism underlining it is not fully understood. The central amygdala (CeA), which is linked to stress-induced behaviors and physical reactions, projects directly to the mesencephalic trigeminal nucleus (Vme), which is crucial for oral-motor coordination.

Objective: Blister aneurysms of the internal carotid artery (ICA) are rare and are primarily documented in the literature through small series and case reports. The intraoperative observation of a hemorrhage in the artery wall proximal to the aneurysmal bulge led to the hypothesis that some of these aneurysms might develop in a retrograde manner.
Methods: We developed software to reconstruct the ICA with and without Type I and II blister aneurysms using patients' imagery as input to simulate hemodynamic conditions before and after their formation.
