Human papillomavirus (HPV) infections rank as the most prevalent sexually transmitted infections globally. The Brazilian Ministry of Health recommends the topical use of 70%-90% trichloroacetic acid (TAA) for treating condyloma acuminata, yet this method suffers from a high recurrence rate of 36% and requires roughly six applications. Topical photodynamic therapy (PDT) has shown effectiveness in targeting subclinical lesions, but it also necessitates multiple sessions for complete lesion clearance.

In this study, a rapid and accurate analytical method was developed for the simultaneous determination of 26 plant toxins and 11 mushroom toxins in toxic plants, toxic mushrooms, and their cooked products using LC-MS/MS. This method enables highly selective detection of all 37 analytes, including those with high polarity and low molecular weight, within 10 min using Scherzo SS-C18 column. The analytes were extracted from the samples using methanol and trichloroacetic acid, and purified using Captiva EMR-Lipid.

Laboratoire National d'Hydraulique et Environnement (LNHE), Division Recherche et Développement, Electricité de France (EDF), 6 Quai de Watier, 78401 Chatou Cedex 01, France.

This paper aims to test several modeling approaches for predicting toxicity of binary mixtures with potential synergy and antagonism. The approach based on the construction of isoboles was first tested and criticized. In contrast to conventional approaches, and in order to be mathematically consistent with the additivity assumptions, non-linear isoboles have been constructed.

Genetic differences typically cause differences in the structure and function of proteins in meat. The objective of this research was to examine the biochemical characteristics and functional behavior of proteins in fresh composite meat from Thai Ligor hybrid chicken (LC) and commercial broiler chicken (BC). The composite meat samples, which comprise minced breast and thigh without skin from 20 chicken carcasses in a 1:1 (/) ratio, were randomly selected for analysis using the completely randomized design (CRD).
