In this paper the synthesis and spectral properties of three new dimeric bis(BODIPY)s with two indacene domains connected by a methylene (-CH-) spacer at 2,2-, 2,3- or 3,3- positions were reported. It was found bis(BODIPY)s exhibit a high sensitivity of fluorescence to the medium properties. To interpret solvatochromic effects of bis(BODIPY)s, a multilinear correlation analysis of bis(BODIPY)s fluorescence quantum yields with respect to solvent different parameters was carried out. To understand the features of the spectral properties of bis(BODIPY)s, we carried out a thorough quantum-chemical analysis of the structural, conformational, and spectral characteristics of bis(BODIPY)s. The obtained bis(BODIPY)s have a high potential for application as sensors of medium polarity.

This article aims to explore milking-ability criteria of Holstein dairy cattle under intensive production system in Egypt and investigate some managerial factors that influence them in dairy farms. The data obtained from five herds belong to a commercial intensive production system farm, Egypt. Data included 3509 records.

Background: β-Hydroxy-β-methyl butyrate (HMB) is a metabolite of the amino acid leucine, known for its ergogenic effects on body composition and strength. Despite these benefits, the magnitude of these effects remains unclear due to variability among studies. This umbrella review aims to synthesize meta-analyses investigating the effects of HMB on body composition and muscle strength in adults.

Postoperative ileus, the temporary cessation of gastrointestinal motility leading to accumulation of fluid and gas in the bowel, is a common complication following posterior spine fusion (PSF) in patients with neuromuscular scoliosis (NMS). Abdominal radiographs (KUBs) are often ordered to differentiate between ileus and mechanical obstruction but expose patients to radiation, add cost, and may lead to unnecessary work up. The aim of this study was to determine how often KUBs led to a change in treatment after PSF in patients with NMS.

Arthroscopic rotator cuff repair (RCR) is a common procedure, yet long-term patient-centered outcome studies remain limited. This study aims to evaluate the outcomes of arthroscopic RCR using a single-row metallic anchor technique over a 12-year follow-up, focusing on patient-reported outcomes and potential risk factors. A monocentric cohort study was conducted on patients who underwent complete arthroscopic RCR with a single-row metallic anchor technique from January 2007 to July 2011.

: The parallel stent graft endovascular aortic repair (PGEVAR) technique is an off-the-shelf option used for elective complex abdominal aortic aneurysm repair with acceptable outcome results, as reported so far. The PGEVAR technique, using chimney or periscope parallel grafts, can also be used for patients with ruptured complex abdominal aortic aneurysms. However, only few data about the mid- to long-term outcomes are available.
