Sinonasal squamous cell carcinoma (SNSCC) is an aggressive cancer affecting the nasal and sinus regions, with its progression factors, particularly genetic ones, not yet fully understood. Here, we first conducted a retrospective study with 219 SNSCC patients to identify clinical factors affecting SNSCC prognosis. Additionally, we mined a vast literature dataset to uncover genetic factors associated with SNSCC progression.

Diffuse gliomas in adults are highly infiltrative and largely incurable. Whole exome sequencing (WES) has been demonstrated very useful in genetic analysis. Here WES was performed to characterize genomic landscape of adult-type diffuse gliomas to discover the diagnostic, therapeutic and prognostic biomarkers.

Background: While REIMS technology has successfully been demonstrated for the histological identification of ex-vivo breast tumor tissues, questions regarding the robustness of the approach and the possibility of tumor molecular diagnostics still remain unanswered. In the current study, we set out to determine whether it is possible to acquire cross-comparable REIMS datasets at multiple sites for the identification of breast tumors and subtypes.
Methods: A consortium of four sites with three of them having access to fresh surgical tissue samples performed tissue analysis using identical REIMS setups and protocols.

Background: Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of presumed lung origin (PLO) is now the second most frequent histologic subtype of non-small cell carcinoma after adenocarcinoma. The use of clinic-genomic correlation provided by comprehensive genomic profiling (CGP) can revise clinicopathologic diagnoses of presumed primary lung SCC (PLO-SCC) to diagnoses of metastatic SCC of cutaneous origin (C-SCC).
Design: A total of 10 146 samples of clinically advanced PLO-SCC (84% known Stage IV) passed QC metrics and were designated as PLO-SCCs by review of test requisition forms, clinical notes, and pathology reports.

Angiosarcomas of the kidney and adrenal gland are rare, highly aggressive vascular neoplasms. Their genomic profile has not been systematically studied to date. We report the clinicopathologic and molecular features of six angiosarcomas centered in the kidney/adrenal gland.
