Venous angiomas are relatively common lesions that occur in up to 3% of the general population. It is usually asymptomatic and discovered incidentally. We present a case of developmental venous anomaly mimicking thrombosed cerebral vein on nonenhanced computed tomography scan of the brain. A 48-year-old male patient medically free referred to our center for further management of high blood pressure. Because of the concern of thrombosed cerebral vein on computed tomography, further investigation with magnetic resonance venogram revealed a small network of veins in the region of the left internal cerebral vein with a picture of venous angioma. This case highlights such findings for the junior radiologist to consider additional investigations and avoid subsequent inadvertent treatment with anticoagulation.

Background: Intravascular injection of liquid adhesive hemostats is a rare but serious complication that can result in cerebral thromboembolism.
Observations: A 64-year-old female underwent orbitozygomatic craniotomy for posterior communicating artery aneurysm clipping with the routine use of a flowable hemostatic agent during extradural dissection. After placement of the aneurysm clip, flow was confirmed through the parent vessel and nearby branches.

Differentiating benign enlargement of subarachnoid spaces (BESS) from low-attenuation subdural collections on CT imaging of infants can be challenging. This distinction is crucial in infants, as subdural collections may raise the concern for abusive head trauma (AHT). To evaluate the utilization of the displaced cortical vein sign on CT as a predictor of pathological subdural collections confirmed by MRI and to assess the reproducibility of this finding among radiologists with different levels of clinical experience.

Background And Purpose: Prolonged venous transit (PVT), derived from computed tomography perfusion (CTP) time-to-maximum (T) maps, reflects compromised venous outflow (VO) in acute ischemic stroke due to large vessel occlusion (AIS-LVO). Poor VO is associated with worse clinical outcomes, but pre-treatment markers predictive of PVT are not well described.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective analysis of 189 patients with anterior circulation AIS-LVO who underwent baseline CT evaluation, including non-contrast CT, CT angiography, and CTP.

Objective The impact of type 1 DM (T1DM) on thromboembolism in pregnancy is uncertain. We hypothesized that T1DM is associated with higher rates of thrombotic events during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Study Design This is a retrospective cohort study utilizing the National Inpatient Sample database from HCUP/AHRQ for 2017-2019.
