Objective: To examine the effects of clinicians' provision of (un)reasonable arguments on parent-related outcomes in neonatal (intensive) care (NICU), starting from the NICU Communication Framework.
Methods: A video-vignette experiment, in which we systematically varied clinicians' use of (reasonable, unreasonable, no) argumentation across two non-acute and two acute decision-making scenarios (3×4 design). Reasonable arguments were medically appropriate and constructive reasons to support the treatment plan, as defined by an expert panel.

Background: Malaria remains a threat in sub-Saharan Africa, particularly in Côte d'Ivoire, where it is endemic and represents the leading cause of hospital consultations, morbidity and mortality. The strong climatic variations that exist between coastal and savannah areas of Côte d'Ivoire suggest that vector control interventions should be scheduled according to the eco-epidemiological diversity. This study evaluates bioecological parameters of vectors and malaria transmission in two health districts, one coastal and one central of Côte d'Ivoire.

Start Strong, a 4-week culinary nutrition education, obesity prevention program designed for rural family care providers in low-income areas of Minnesota, was initially an in-person training and recently adapted into a virtual version. Using a quasi-experimental design, this study examined within group and between group (in-person versus virtual) changes in culinary skill confidence and familiarity with food assistance programs after Start Strong participation. Additionally, we examined post-program participant experiences.

Since symptom reporting during consultations is hampered by time constraints and patient/oncologist biases, patient-reported outcome-measure (PROM) questionnaires are useful. Silicon is by far the most important semiconducting material. However, solution-based synthetic approaches for unsaturated silicon-rich molecules require less efficient multi-step syntheses. We report on a straightforward access to soluble, polyhedral Si clusters from the binary phase KSi, which contains both [Si] and [Si] clusters.
