The protein interactome of p65/RELA, the most active subunit of the transcription factor (TF) NF-κB, has not been previously determined in living cells. Using p65-miniTurbo fusion proteins and biotin tagging, we identify >350 RELA interactors from untreated and IL-1α-stimulated cells, including many TFs (47% of all interactors) and >50 epigenetic regulators belonging to different classes of chromatin remodeling complexes. A comparison with the interactomes of two point mutants of p65 reveals that the interactions primarily require intact dimerization rather than DNA-binding properties.

Advances in sequencing technology have led to the discovery of diverse types of regulatory RNAs. Differential transcript levels regulate cellular processes and influence disease severity. Identifying these variations through reliable methods is crucial for understanding the regulatory roles and disease mechanisms of regulatory RNAs.

Numerous studies have demonstrated the efficacy of selenium compounds in preventing and treating lifestyle-related diseases such as cancer and cardiovascular disorders. The formulation of selenium-enriched supplements for humans and animals, particularly those containing selenium yeast, is highly advantageous. These products are rich in organic selenium derivatives, showing significantly higher bioavailability than inorganic forms of selenium.

Growth differentiation factor-15 (GDF-15) is a stress-responsive cytokine that increases in tissue injury and inflammatory states. The circulation level of GDF-15 is firmly correlated with cardiovascular diseases. Herein, we constructed a novel quantum dot-based fluorescent immunosensor for the sensitive detection of serum GDF-15.

Silymarin and thymoquinone exert neuroprotective effects, although their combined effects in focal cerebral ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) models are unknown. We compared the effect of silymarin and thymoquinone in an I/R rat model. Wistar rats were divided into five groups: SHAM, REP (I/R), SIR (200 mg/kg silymarin+I/R), TIR (3 mg/kg thymoquinone+I/R), and STIR (200 mg/kg silymarin+3-mg thymoquinone+I/R).
