Tomographic radionuclide angiography (TRNA) can monitor cardiac function in patients receiving cardiotoxic chemotherapy. Gamma cameras using CZT detectors enable dose reduction and quicker acquisitions. We report 80 patients who underwent a 7-minute TRNA acquisition after injection of 550-MBq Tc-labeled human serum albumin. Data were analyzed full and half. Image quality was not visually decreased. There was no significant difference in left ventricular systolic and diastolic volumes and in left and right ventricular ejection fractions between full and half data acquisitions (P < 0.0001). When injecting half activity, effective dose could be reduced to 1.92 mSv.

Our aim is to report methodology that has been developed to calibrate and verify PET and SPECT quantitative image accuracy and quality assurance for use with nonstandard radionuclides, especially with longer half-lives, in clinical imaging trials. Procedures have been developed for quantitative PET and SPECT image calibration for use in clinical trials. The protocol uses a 3-step approach: check quantitative accuracy with a previously calibrated radionuclide in a simple geometry, check the novel trial radionuclide in the same geometry, and check the novel radionuclide in a more challenging, complex geometry (the National Electrical Manufacturers Association [NEMA] NU-2 International Electrotechnical Commission [IEC] image-quality phantom).

We read with great interest the paper by Lim(2018035042) on bias reduction in Y-90 PET imaging. In particular, they proposed a new formulation of the tomographic reconstruction problem that enforces non-negativity in projection space as opposed to image space. We comment on the algorithm they derived from this formulation and bring some clarifications on the constraint that this algorithm respects.

We compared and analyzed the consistency and repeatability of left and right ventricular ((LV/RV) functions obtained by gated-equilibrium radionuclide ventriculography (ERNV) with cadmium-zinc-telluride single-photon emission computed tomography (CZT-SPECT) and conventional SPECT (C-SPECT) with sodium iodide crystal detectors. Seventy-seven patients were included in the retrospective study. Both C-SPECT and CZT-SPECT imaging were performed on the same day.

Introduction: Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-targeted radioligand therapy (RLT) is revolutionizing the treatment landscape for metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) patients. This study aimed to establish patient-specific radiation dosimetry for [Lu]Lu-PSMA-617 RLT in Iranian patients with mCRPC.

Method: Twelve biopsy-proven prostate cancer patients (aged 68.

A tomographic spatial-unfolding method for Compton gamma imaging measurements.

An advanced spatial-unfolding technique capable of reconstructing the activity distribution within an exclusion zone from Compton gamma imager measurements taken outside of it is introduced. Although the method is generally applicable to extended sources, we demonstrate it here on a calibrated Cs-137 point source through Monte Carlo simulation studies as well as with measurements made using a Silicon Compton Telescope for Safety and Security (SCoTSS) gamma imager. For synthetic data the method accurately reconstructs the total activity contained within the mapped zone of interest, even when the size of the basis elements used to reconstruct the activity distribution is larger than the source itself.
