An estimated 6.8 million people in the United States have an unruptured intracranial aneurysms, with approximately 30,000 people suffering from intracranial aneurysms rupture each year. Despite the development of population-based scores to evaluate the risk of rupture, retrospective analyses have suggested the limited usage of these scores in guiding clinical decision-making.

Objective: Dynamic Ultrasound Localization Microscopy (DULM) has first been developed for non-invasive Pulsatility measurements in the rodent brain. DULM relies on the localization and tracking of microbubbles (MBs) injected into the bloodstream, to obtain highly resolved velocity and density cine-loops. Previous DULM techniques required ECG-gating, limiting its application to specific datasets, and increasing acquisition time.

P magnetic resonance spectroscopic imaging (P MRSI) is a powerful technique for investigating the metabolic effects of treatments for heart failure , allowing a better understanding of their mechanism of action in patient cohorts. Unfortunately, cardiac P MRSI is fundamentally limited by low SNR, which leads to compromises in acquisition, such as no cardiac or respiratory gating or low spatial resolution, in order to achieve reasonable scan times. Spectroscopy with linear algebra modeling (SLAM) reconstruction may be able to address these challenges and therefore improve repeatability by incorporating a segmented localizer into the reconstruction.

Aims: Cardiovascular magnetic resonance parametric mapping enables non-invasive quantitative myocardial tissue characterization. Human myocardium has normal ranges of T1 and T2 values, deviation from which may indicate disease or change in physiology. Normal myocardial T1 and T2 values are affected by biological sex.

Purpose: This study presents analytic techniques to quantify cardiac pulsatility-induced deformations of thoracic aortic endografts in patients with thoracic aortic aneurysm (TAA), dissection (TAD), and blunt thoracic aortic injury (BTAI) after thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR).
Technique: We analyzed 19 image data sets from 14 patients treated for TAA, TAD, and BTAI with cardiac-gated post-TEVAR CTs. Systolic and diastolic geometric models were constructed and diametric, axial, and bending deformations were quantified.
