Here, we present two cases of male infertility linked to novel variants, associated with oligoasthenoteratozoospermia (OAT) and early embryonic arrest. Historically, psychiatric diagnoses have been made based on patient's reported symptoms applying the criteria from diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorders. The utilization of neuroimaging or biomarkers to make the diagnosis and manage psychiatric disorders remains a distant goal. There have been several studies that examine brain imaging in psychiatric disorders, but more work is needed to elucidate the complexities of the human brain.

Laparoscopic liver resection (LLR) is a minimally invasive surgical approach. Initially utilized for low-risk procedures, such as the resection of benign lesions, now LLR has evolved to include more complex operations such as metastatic lesions. We present in this article two cases with liver metastasis who underwent a successful two-stage total LLR: a 57-year-old man diagnosed with sigmoid cancer and liver metastasis and a 36-year-old man diagnosed with pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor and liver metastasis.

Introduction: Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV) and Zika virus (ZIKV) are prevalent in over 80 countries or territories worldwide, causing hundreds of thousands of cases annually. But currently there is a lack of specific antiviral agents and effective vaccines.
Methods: In the present study, to identify human neutralizing monoclonal antibody (mAb) against JEV or/and ZIKV, we isolated ZIKV-E protein-binding B cells from the peripheral venous blood of a healthy volunteer who had received the JEV live-attenuated vaccine and performed 10× Genomics transcriptome sequencing and BCR sequencing analysis, we then obtained the V region amino acid sequences of a novel mAb LZY3412.

Background: Infant antibiotic use is associated with increased risk of asthma. We examined the population impact of antibiotic exposure in the first year of life on the burden of pediatric asthma in British Columbia, Canada, using simulation modeling.
Methods: We performed a Bayesian meta-analysis of empirical studies to construct dose-response equations between antibiotic exposure in the first year of life and pediatric (<19 years of age) asthma.
