Background Numerous classifications exist for intertrochanteric (IT) fractures, commonly focused on stability. However, the currently utilized Arbeitsgemeinschaft Osteosynthesefragen and Orthopaedic Trauma Association (AO/OTA) classification has limitations in identifying irreducible fractures. This study aims to answer the following questions: does fracture stability imply irreducibility; which fracture fragments complicate reduction; and which reduction techniques should be employed? Background: Quadrilateral space syndrome is a painful disorder of the shoulder caused by static or dynamic entrapment of the axillary nerve and the posterior humeral circumflex artery. It was first described in 1983; however, it is an uncommon syndrome that initially presents with nonspecific shoulder pain or selective deltoid atrophy, and diagnosis is often delayed owing to its rarity. Young athletes of overhead sports are more commonly affected by this syndrome.

Background: Posterior spinal fusion (PSF) surgery for correction of idiopathic scoliosis is associated with chronic postsurgical pain (CPSP). In this multicenter study, we describe perioperative multimodal analgesic (MMA) management and characterize postoperative pain, disability, and quality of life over 12 months after PSF in adolescents and young adults.

Methods: Subjects (8-25 years) undergoing PSF were recruited at 6 sites in the United States between 2016 and 2023.
