The question of what makes a good teacher has been asked by practitioners, policymakers, and researchers for decades. However, there is no guiding framework about which qualities are important for teachers. Thus, it is necessary to examine these qualities using a recognized framework and to summarize the previous literature on this topic. We conducted a meta-analysis on the 25 studies (total = 6294) reporting the relationships between teacher Big Five personality domains (openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and emotional stability) and two teacher job-related outcomes (i.e., teacher effectiveness and burnout). Furthermore, the influence of three moderators was assessed, namely, the type of teacher effectiveness measure (i.e., evaluations of teaching, student performance self-efficacy, classroom observation, and academic achievement), source of personality report (i.e., self-report vs other-report), and the instructed educational level (i.e., elementary, secondary, and tertiary). Overall, teacher Big Five domains (except for agreeableness) were positively associated with teacher effectiveness, especially for evaluations of teaching. Furthermore, teacher emotional stability, extraversion, and conscientiousness were negatively associated with burnout. Other-reports of teacher personality were more strongly associated with outcomes than self-reports. There were no differences in the strength of the associations between the educational levels. The need for using common descriptors in teacher research as well as practical implications of the findings for teacher personality measurement is discussed.

Music performance anxiety (MPA) is one of the most reported psychological problems among musicians, posing a significant threat to the optimal performance, health, and psychological wellbeing of musicians. Most research on MPA treatment has focused on reducing symptoms of performance anxiety, but complete "cures" are uncommon. A promising addition or alternative that may help musicians enhance their performance under pressure, despite their anxiety, is pressure training (PT).

Cadmium pollution in water is becoming increasingly serious. Thus, the effective removal of Cd(II) from water has garnered attention. Aluminum hydroxide-modified attapulgite (ATP-AC) was prepared from basic aluminum acetate through a coprecipitation method that could efficiently adsorb Cd(II) in aqueous solution.

Knowledge distillation improves student model performance. However, using a larger teacher model does not necessarily result in better distillation gains due to significant architecture and output gaps with smaller student networks. To address this issue, we reconsider teacher outputs and find that categories with strong teacher confidence benefit distillation more, while those with weaker certainty contribute less.

Tea bud detection technology is of great significance in realizing automated and intelligent plucking of tea buds. This study proposes a lightweight tea bud identification model based on modified Yolov5 to increase the picking accuracy and labor efficiency of intelligent tea bud picking while lowering the deployment pressure of mobile terminals. The following methods are used to make improvements: the backbone network CSPDarknet-53 of YOLOv5 is replaced with the EfficientNetV2 feature extraction network to reduce the number of parameters and floating-point operations of the model; the neck network of YOLOv5, the Ghost module is introduced to construct the ghost convolution and C3ghost module to further reduce the number of parameters and floating-point operations of the model; replacing the upsampling module of the neck network with the CARAFE upsampling module can aggregate the contextual tea bud feature information within a larger sensory field and improve the mean average precision of the model in detecting tea buds.

The application of the Internet combined with extracurricular running exercise plays an important role in promoting the reform of school physical education teaching and the healthy development of students' physical fitness. 2379 students of Guilin Medical College used the Flash Campus APP for 30 weeks of running exercise during the school period, and the Wilcoxon test and t-test were used to statistically test the data of 50 m, standing long jump, lung capacity, seated forward bending, height, and body weight; men's pull-ups, 1,000 m; and women's sit-ups, 800 m pre- and post-tests. The Z/t values of men's 50 m, standing long jump, pull-ups, and lung capacity; women's 50 m running, standing long jump, sit-ups, lung capacity, and sitting prone flexion after extracurricular running exercise were - 3.
