Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) may have a lasting effect on the quality of life (QoL) of children and their parents. Children with ADHD as well as their parents report a lower QoL compared with healthy children and children with chronic diseases such as bronchial asthma. The primary objective of this study was to investigate the changes of QoL of children with ADHD and their parents' subjective well-being before and after starting pharmacotherapy. We used the appropriate KINDL questionnaire for assessing the children's QoL and the World Health Organization (WHO) Big Five Questionnaire for assessing parental well-being. We assessed the QoL and the parental well-being in 60 children and adolescents with ADHD between the ages of 6 and 12 years [mean age 8.7 years, (standard deviation = 1.8)], treated at the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry of the Medical University of Vienna. QoL was rated using the , and parental well-being was assessed using the before and after starting pharmacotherapy. We used -tests and GLM-ANOVA (SPSS, version 22; IBM Corp.) for evaluating the statistical significance of pre-post differences. The QoL of the children with ADHD and the subjective well-being of the parents improved significantly after introducing pharmacotherapy. Pharmacotherapy is recommended in children with clinically significant ADHD not only because it helps to improve the symptoms of ADHD, but also their QoL and the well-being of their parents.

Objective: To compare menopause-related quality of life (QoL) after risk-reducing salpingectomy (RRS) versus risk-reducing salpingo-oophorectomy (RRSO) until 3 years of post-surgery.
Design: A prospective study (TUBA study) with treatment allocation based on patients' preference. Data were collected pre-surgery and at 3 months, 1 and 3 years of post-surgery.

Objective: Adolescence marks a time of transition where teenagers are learning to advocate for themselves. In those with underlying chronic conditions such as adolescent dysautonomia, improving communication between clinic visits may improve connection with their health care provider which may aide management. Our aims were as follows: (1) to implement a text message platform to increase communication between adolescent patients and health care provider (HCP); (2) to evaluate its effect on quality of life (QoL), symptom burden, and patient engagement; and (3) to determine patient satisfaction with the platform.

Despite increasing interest in the role of parks on children's health, there has been little empirical research on the impact of park interventions. We used a quasi-experimental pre-post study design with matched controls to evaluate the effects of park redesign and renovation on children's health-related quality of life (QoL) in underserved neighborhoods in New York City, with predominantly Hispanic and Black populations. Utilizing longitudinal data from the Physical Activity and Redesigned Community Spaces (PARCS) Study, we examined the parent-reported health-related QoL of 201 children aged 3-11 years living within a 0.

Background: Symptoms frequently associated with endometriosis affect quality of life (QoL). Our aim investigated the hypothesis that cluster analysis can be used to identify homogeneous phenotyping subgroups of women according to the burden of the endometriosis for their QoL, and then to investigate the phenotype differences observed between these subgroups.
Methods: We developed an anonymous online survey, which received responses from 1,586 French women with endometriosis.
