Background: Atherosclerosis (AS) is a major cause of cardiovascular diseases and neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) may be actively involved in the development of atherosclerosis. Identifying key biomarkers in this process is essential for developing targeted treatments for AS.
Methods: We performed bioinformatics analysis using a NETosis-related gene (NRGs) set and three AS datasets (GSE100927, GSE21545, and GSE159677).

Background: This study aims to develop Z-Score models to normalize measurements of three coronary arteries and enhance the diagnosis of Kawasaki disease (KD) in children from newborns to 10 years old. Developing a reliable Z-Score model is challenging, as some existing models fail the normality test. Overcoming these challenges is crucial for improving KD diagnosis.

Background: Familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) is a genetically inherited disorder caused by monogenic mutations or polygenic deleterious variants. Patients with FH innate with significantly elevated risks for coronary heart disease (CHD). FH prevalence based on genetic testing in Chinese CHD patients is missing.

Purpose: Embolic stroke of unidentified source (ESUS) represents 10-25% of all ischemic strokes. Our goal was to determine whether ESUS could be reclassified to cardioembolic (CE) or large-artery atherosclerosis (LAA) with machine learning (ML) using conventional clinical data.
Methods: We retrospectively collected conventional clinical features, including patient, imaging (MRI, CT/CTA), cardiac, and serum data from established cases of CE and LAA stroke, and factors with p < 0.

Atherosclerosis and aneurysm of the aorta are relatively common pathological conditions that remain asymptomatic for a long period of time and have life-threatening and disabling complications. DNA methylation profiling in several regions (a dilated area, a nondilated area, and an atherosclerotic plaque) of the ascending aorta was carried out in patients with aortic aneurysm. DNA methylation was analyzed by reduced representation bisulfite sequencing (RRBS).
