Objectives: Postoperative pulmonary complications (POPC) are common after cardiac surgeries such as coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) and are influenced by factors including anesthesia and surgical trauma. Inspiratory muscle training (IMT) with visual biofeedback may mitigate these complications. This study investigates the impact of threshold loading inspiratory muscle training (TL-IMT) combined with respiratory biofeedback on the dynamic strength of inspiratory muscles (S-index) in patients undergoing CABG surgery during their hospitalization phase.

Background: The aim of our study is to compare the effect of the 30° reverse Trendelenburg position combined with the beach chair position on respiratory parameters in laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG) with the 30° reverse Trendelenburg position alone.
Material And Method: Fifty patients with body mass index > 30 were included in the study. The patients were divided into two groups; in the control group, the standard 30° reverse Trendelenburg.

Neuromodulation comes into focus as a non-pharmacological therapy with the vagus nerve as modulation target. The auricular vagus nerve stimulation (aVNS) has emerged to treat chronic diseases while re-establishing the sympathovagal balance and activating parasympathetic anti-inflammatory pathways. aVNS leads still to over and under-stimulation and is limited in therapeutic efficiency.

Background: Recent studies have extensively explored new non-invasive and side-effect-free therapeutic strategies for the treatment of allergic rhinitis (AR). Photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT) utilizes photons from the red to infrared spectrum to modulate biological processes, exhibiting anti-inflammatory and regenerative properties. The objective of our study was to evaluate the efficacy of PBMT in patients with AR.

The limitations of existing mouse models of lung infection with Mycobacteroides abscessus impede drug discovery and development. In contrast to current animal models that introduce NTM intravenously or by intranasal/intra-tracheal instillation or via bronchoscopy-guided insufflation, we developed a dry powder inhalation (DPI) of M. abscessus ATCC 19977 that generated paucibacillary lung infection and histopathology in immunocompetent mice.
