Introduction: Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is one of the most common malignant tumors in oral and maxillofacial region. The development of new chemotherapy agents and new drug combinations may improve patient survival and quality of life, but both surgery and radiotherapy have significant functional side effects and drug resistance, ultimately resulting in a 5-year survival rate of no more than 60% for OSCC patients. Studies have shown that Brucea javanica oil (BJO) extracts have anti-cancer effects against a variety of cancers, but little research has been reported on OSCC.

The word "cancer" evokes myriad emotions, ranging from fear and despair to hope and determination. Cancer is aptly defined as a complex and multifaceted group of diseases that has unapologetically led to the loss of countless lives and affected innumerable families across the globe. The battle with cancer is not only a physical battle, but also an emotional, as well as a psychological skirmish for patients and for their loved ones.

Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are generated in all cells. Systemic administration of allogenic EVs derived from epithelial and mesenchymal cells has been shown to be safe, despite carrying an array of functional molecules, including thousands of proteins. To address whether epithelial cell-derived EVs can be modified to acquire the capacity to induce an immune response, we engineered 293T EVs to harbor the immunomodulatory molecules CD80, OX40L, and PD-L1.

Extracellular vesicles (EVs) from brain-seeking breast cancer cells (Br-EVs) breach the blood-brain barrier (BBB) via transcytosis and promote brain metastasis. Here, we defined the mechanisms by which Br-EVs modulate brain endothelial cell (BEC) dynamics to facilitate their BBB transcytosis. BEC treated with Br-EVs show significant downregulation of Rab11fip2, known to promote vesicle recycling to the plasma membrane and significant upregulation of Rab11fip3 and Rab11fip5, which support structural stability of the endosomal compartment and facilitate vesicle recycling and transcytosis, respectively.

Background: The Arp2/3 complex is a key regulator of tumor metastasis, and targeting its subunits offers potential for anti-metastatic therapy. However, the expression profiles, prognostic relevance, and diagnostic value of its subunits across cancers remain poorly understood. This study aims to investigate the clinical relevance of Arp2/3 complex subunits, particularly ARPC1A, in pan-cancer, and to further analyze the potential biological mechanisms of ARPC1A, as well as its association with immune infiltration and chemotherapy drug sensitivity.
