The regulatory framework of clinical research is necessary to ensure the protection of participants and to define the actors and their responsibilities. Although main principles have been set up in 1947 with the Nuremberg Code, this regulatory framework is relatively recent in Europe: development of national regulations in the years 1980-1990, first European Directive regarding clinical trials in 2001. In France, as 2006 was marked by the implementation of this first "Clinical trials Directive", the end of the year 2016 and the following months were marked by the enforcement of the Jardé law (previously modified in order to reinforce the regulatory requirements following the death of an healthy volunteer in a clinical trial). As clinical researches involve processing of personal data, the entry into force, on 25 May 2018, of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) had also consequences on their implementation. Finally, regarding clinical trials on drugs, the "Clinical trials Regulation" repealing the Directive, voted in 2014, should come into force in the coming months.

This review includes studies on cultured meat production processes, health hazards, and regulatory guidelines, excluding those without hazard analysis, incomplete texts, or studies published before 2013. The search was performed in eight electronic databases (MEDLINE, Web of Science, Embase, Cochrane Library, Scopus, LILACS, and Google Scholar) using MeSH terms and adaptations for each database.

The systematic identification and functional characterization of noncanonical translation products, such as novel peptides, will facilitate the understanding of the human genome and provide new insights into cell biology. Here, we constructed a high-coverage peptide sequencing reference library with 11,668,944 open reading frames and employed an ultrafiltration tandem mass spectrometry assay to identify novel peptides. Through these methods, we discovered 8945 previously unannotated peptides from normal gastric tissues, gastric cancer tissues and cell lines, nearly half of which were derived from noncoding RNAs.

Ralstonia eutropha H16, a facultative chemolithoautotrophic Gram-negative bacterium, demonstrates remarkable metabolic flexibility by utilizing either diverse organic substrates or CO as the sole carbon source, with H serving as the electron donor under aerobic conditions. The capacity of carbon and energy metabolism of R. eutropha H16 enabled development of synthetic biology technologies and strategies to engineer its metabolism for biosynthesis of value-added chemicals.

There is a major gap in the occurrence of mixed emerging contaminants, which hinders our efforts in exploring their behaviors and transport in environmental media, as well as their toxicity to human and ecosystem. This study assessed the occurrence and their correlations of mixed contamination by microplastics (MPs), per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs), antibiotics, and antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) in groundwater collected from a pharmaceutical and chemical industrial park. MPs, PFASs, antibiotics and ARGs were detected at all monitoring wells.
