Adiabatic quantum control is a very important approach for quantum physics and quantum information processing (QIP). It holds the advantage with robustness to experimental imperfections but accumulates more decoherence due to the long evolution time. Here, we propose a universal protocol for fast and robust quantum control in multimode interactions of a quantum system by using shortcuts to adiabaticity. The results show this protocol can speed up the evolution of a multimode quantum system effectively, and it can also keep the robustness very good while adiabatic quantum control processes cannot. We apply this protocol for the quantum state transfer in QIP in the photon-phonon interactions in an optomechanical system, showing a perfect result. These good features make this protocol have the capability of improving effectively the feasibility of the practical applications of multimode interactions in QIP in experiment.

Coordinatively unsaturated copper (Cu) has been demonstrated to be effective for electrifying CO reduction into C products by adjusting the coupling of C-C intermediates. Nevertheless, the intuitive impacts of ultralow coordination Cu sites on C products are scarcely elucidated due to the lack of synthetic recipes for Cu with low coordination numbers and its vulnerability to aggregation under reductive potentials. Herein, computational predictions revealed that Cu sites with higher levels of coordinative unsaturation favored the adsorption of C and C intermediates.

Endophytic fungi possess a unique ability to produce abundant secondary metabolites, which play an active role in the growth and development of host plants. In this study, chemical investigations on the endophytic fungus TE-739D derived from the cultivated tobacco ( L.) afforded two new polyketide derivatives, namely japoniones A () and B (), as well as four previously reported compounds -.

Molecular simulations offer valuable insights into thermosetting polymers' microstructures and interactions with small molecules, aiding in the development of advanced materials. In this study, we design two cyanate resin models featuring monomers of different sizes and employ a previously developed method to generate crosslinked structures. We then analyze their crosslinking processes and physicochemical properties.

Gate dielectrics are essential components in nanoscale field-effect transistors (FETs), but they often face significant instabilities when exposed to harsh environments, such as radioactive conditions, leading to unreliable device performance. In this paper, we evaluate the performance of ultrascaled transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) FETs equipped with vacuum gate dielectric (VGD) as a means to circumvent oxide-related instabilities. The nanodevice is computationally assessed using a quantum simulation approach based on the self-consistent solutions of the Poisson equation and the quantum transport equation under the ballistic transport regime.
