Unlabelled: We tested the hypothesis that environmental enrichment (EE) can attenuate early-onset cognitive decline in a stress-hyperresponsive rat strain. The novel genetic model, the Wistar Kyoto More Immobile (WMI) inbred rat strain demonstrates increased stress reactivity and enhanced depression-like behavior compared to its nearly isogenic control, the Wistar Kyoto Less Immobile strain (WLI). Middle-aged (12 months) WMI females exhibited diminished fear, and spatial memory in the contextual fear conditioning and Morris Water Maze paradigms, respectively, compared to young animals (6 months) of both strains and to middle-aged WLIs.

Background: Mulligan sustained natural apophyseal glide (SNAG) is a mobilization technique that aims to reduce pain and improve function by correcting positional errors in the facet joint.
Purpose: To investigate the immediate effects of the Mulligan SNAG application on muscle stiffness, pain, pressure pain threshold (PPT) and range of motion (RoM) in patients with chronic mechanical neck pain.
Methods: A randomized, double-blind trial was conducted.

Patients with estrogen receptor α positive (ERα+) breast cancer typically undergo surgical resection, followed by 5-10 years of treatment with adjuvant endocrine therapy. This prolonged intervention is associated with a host of undesired side effects that reduce patient compliance, and ultimately therapeutic resistance and disease relapse/progression are common. An ideal anticancer therapy would be effective against recurrent and refractory disease with minimal dosing; however, there is little precedent for marked tumor regression with a single dose of a small molecule therapeutic.

Maternal trauma influences infant and adult health outcomes and may impact future generations through epigenetic modifications such as DNA methylation (DNAm). Research in humans on the intergenerational epigenetic transmission of trauma effects is limited. In this study, we assessed DNAm signatures of war-related violence by comparing germline, prenatal, and direct exposures to violence across three generations of Syrian refugees.
