Artificial intelligence (AI) has had a huge impact on our lives. In this study, we suggest that when people interact with AI, they regard the AI as a social actor and apply interpersonal relationship norms. This study employed a 2 × 2 between-subjects design to identify the effects of an AI's relationship type and gender on a human's response to an AI speaker (relationship type: friend vs. servant; gender: male vs. female). Findings show that the relationship type has a significant effect on warmth and pleasure but not on competence. The gender of the AI showed no significant effects on competence, warmth, or pleasure when controlling for the participants' gender. In addition, the results indicate that anthropomorphism fully mediated the relationship between both warmth and pleasure and the type of relationship with AI. Our findings suggest that AI is regarded as a social actor, and the characteristics of AI should be considered as they influence the response to AI.

This systematic literature review summarizes the evidence across 56 publications and pre-prints (January 2020-July 2023) with low-risk of bias based on JBI critical appraisal, that report adjusted estimates for the relationship between COVID-19 vaccination and Post-COVID-19 Condition (PCC) by timing of vaccination relative to infection or PCC-onset. Comparisons of adjusted vaccine effectiveness (aVE) against ≥1 PCC (vs. unvaccinated) across study characteristics known to impact PCC burden or VE against other COVID-19 endpoints were possible for 31 studies where vaccination preceded infection.

Outer space is an extreme environment and the survival of many microorganisms after spaceflight is well established. However, adaptations of Bacillus subtilis to space stress, particularly metabolism, are largely unknown. Here, we first performed a spaceflight mission of the B.

Fortimicins, featuring with a pseudodisaccharide scaffold, are an unusual class of aminoglycosides with potent efficacy against several aminoglycoside-resistant bacterial strains. Notably, these molecules also exhibit lower inherent ototoxicity and nephrotoxicity than common aminoglycosides. Consequently, fortimicins are a promising type of protypical molecules for the development of the next-generation of aminoglycoside antibiotics.

Purpose: The aim of this study is to compare the quality of life, daily physical activity level and perception of illness in patients with chronic daily headache, medication-overuse headache, episodic migraine, and episodic tension-type headache across disease subgroups with respect to possible risk factors such as alcohol/caffeine/nicotine use, eating attitude, which may trigger chronic headache and medication overuse.
Materials And Methods: VAS, International Physical Activity Questionnaire (Short) forms, SF-36 Quality of Life Scale, Illness Perception Questionnaire, Beck Anxiety Inventory, Beck Depression Inventory, Eating Disorder Examination Questionnaire, Eating Attitude Test, SCID-I were applied to the patients.
Results: Disease type mean score and psychological causes mean score were found to be the highest in the chronic tension type headache (CTTH) group among tension type headache (TTH) subgroups.
